The dog is indeed lion's. I could swear I remember it being mounted somewhere weird on him, like the back of his leg instead of on his back.

One item I have yet to see (shown on the various evo item sites) - the little mini-mummy.

Celebrating the upcoming release of the European version of VF Evo for the PS2, a mini site has been created which includes a new wallpaper for each character. Don't get too excited, they all have the same backround, which is a 'crumpled blue/grey paper look' with old english style writing. Here's the Goh version to give you an example:
