I would like to enter as well-- most of my matches probably wouldn't be played til' after 9pm EST though normally. I barely get lag at night, but that's nothing a quick modem refresh can't fix.

I'd like to propose that we just have one person, one character, so there's no ambiguity as to what character they're going to use in the main tourney and it becomes less cumbersome a tournament overall since we're doing round robins for every character in the game.

I agree with one character choice for any tournament. I really dislike the idea that you aren't locked in with your character for a tournament. You should be confident in your character and not relying on a sub to bail you out of a tuff spot etc. Also, in rank on ranking matches too seems to be bizarre where you aren't locked into one character per profile. This is a definite patch that needs to be done. I mean, you don't see this thing in the arcades, because they have to earn it for each character. Besides that, how many of you really can say I fully understand more than one character? Truely understanding the bare minimum of all counterable moves on block and their best max damage choices or low damage choices with decent followups vs every character or even all + situations. I think only very few % in Europe and NA can. Having said that, I second the one character per tournament. Defintely a good idea and promotes stronger training and play by all.

In offline tournaments you can switch your characters. Some people have easier times handling other match ups with other characters or they may not have settled on a main character yet. I don't think we should restrict peoples choices at all. Im against this. (obviously lol)

I hate to put it this way too, but do you really think I don't know why Americans allow character switching in tournies, Low_sweep? Five years of lurking and posting here and at SRK (not sure if you're registered there or not) and I don't know that Americans switch characters to get a more favorable matchup. I was just saying, for the sake of expedience and maybe trying something different, let's just use one character throughout the whole thing. The Japanese do it in every tourney, and it arguably contributes to why the people who play low tier over there can deal so well with the unfavorable matchups. Think YSB and Chikyuu in 3s, which is a lot less balanced than VF is (or should be depending on who you ask about VF5 lol)

That being said and to make sure everyone gets a chance. Every player can ONLY choose one character in the Rank Battle. So please PM (Private Message) your one character. I will not add you if you reply to this thread. SO PM ME

Remember Rank Battles are character vs character, to seed players into the Character Touranament.
