Now that I think about it.... This whole pax shit isa a bad idea to show case the game..... I mean seriously who the fuck is in seattle? Of course Ny would be more ideal followed by LA for the exposure... Damn I'm pissed.

Ummm - everyone who travels to PAX is in Seattle. Showcasing the game EVERYWHERE is a good idea.

You can be pissed that game is not where you are. Seriously, though... THEY ARE MARKETING THE GAME! C'MON!

To SDS's point though, it would be nice if SEGA have made provisions for at least some VF players to be around to help "sell" the product. We all know how unexciting any fighting game can look in the wrong hands.

I have a feeling that PAX is just the first stop in what is (hopefully) a travelling VF5FS roadshow.

I agree with SDS, no one is bitter about the location. Simply put, the game won't be a good display when it's being played by people who don't know how to play the game. I remember when IGN first reviewed VF5 and they had videos of themselves playing...that won't look pretty to hardcore fighting game fans who are on the fence to try the game. IMO, VF is the worst fighting game to look at when being played by players who button mash.

Can't blame Sega though, the game is only being showcased there because of PAX, not the VF community.

I'm just ranting plague lol my girlfriend was looking at me like I was crazy lol I just wanted it to be in places that have good representation... Pax is only days away and such short notice. I just wanted the best for the game... Sorry if I offended anyone.

I was so excited for this game for so long. Then I read the GameSpot interview and it sounds like if you want to deck out your characters you’re going to have to open you wallets for dlc.

Half the fun of the VF games for me is playing through the single player and unlocking stuff for your characters hopefully I'm misinterpreting what I read but seeing the trends of this generation of consoles I sincerely doubt it.

Such a stupid decision SEGA has made.
On the bright side, SEGA starts to do something at least....

Will do! Looking forward to this!

Wish there was more of a heads up about this, but it's still SEGA so what are you going to do...

Ready to show off my rusty El Blaze and scrubby Kage, lol.

We can have the clear answer at AOU, and I don't think SEGA would both release VF6 arcade and FS console version at the same time. The purpose of home version is to extend the game life, not throwing a stone on its feet.

I just thought about this for a sec. If VF6 does come out then it will probably be in arcades and not on console for another year or two so we'll still have some quality time with FS. That's IF VF6 is coming out at the same time.

      THIS.

The same way that Capcom and Namco have the top players for their respective games always in the public's face as a liason between the fans and the company, Sega needs to do the same thing. Maybe we can petition for that as well. It's worth a try.
