The only outrageous thing that I saw in the Akira video was what the Jeffry chose to punish the -32 bodycheck with, I didn't see anything broken about the body check, first one only did 75 damage too.

On a sidenote, did anyone notice when Akira used the 66kk during the combo that Jeffry didn't do a flip like it did in the old VF5R animations? Or did that not work on heavyweights anyways, not sure. I really liked that animation, it'd be a shame if it got removed.

I think they say that akira bodycheck can do up to 140 points of damage?? how?

It says something along these lines:

"Tetsuzankou (Iron Mountain Check)'s execution became slower, but its damage from a single attack is now theoretically up to 140!!
Get as close to the opponent as possible and get it!"

...sooo it seems that damage once more scales with distance. I don't suppose there will be many chances to CH with it within minimal distance, so a dodged string to BC should only reward with a measly ~120 as already seen [IMG] . Way to stir up false hopes, SEGA [IMG]

That's strange... if you go on SEGA's yt channel you can view it, though.

It's missing some characters so we should probably expect a second video at some point.

So, it looks like Sancha (EI), who I played the shit out of in vanilla VF5, has posted a video of him against me.

This property has existed since VF2, and get as close as possible might lead this move much slower because the last two commends 66 will be considered as a dash.

We might be able to see some videos soon about 140 damage~

I think it was because the last hit just barely hit Jeffery's head so the animation would look really messed up if it flipped when he barely got touched. Or you could be right..because heavyweights would be really hard to flip.

The body flip animation depends on height, so if they're close to the ground it doesn't happen. I think the floating opponent has to be around Akira's chest height for it to occur.
