VF5 Final Showdown Videos

    Yeah i saw that quote too. It's bad to see a retirement for a "different" game tough. Well, let's see if VF5FS would have a good fan base in japan.

    I suppose any game one quits VF for would be even further away from VF4/5 than FS, though.

    I suppose people got so used to VF4 system (and VF5 was mostly iterating on it, not revolutionizing) been built upon for 5 games already before FS came with some serious changes. Still, I'm hoping it all works out though... VF 1 and 2 were quite different from 4/5 as well, after all.

    Alot more throw escapes are what i've been noticing. If the game doesn't do well they'll just retool it and go Vf6.

    Sorry, just catching up on some older vids and saw this:
    I don't think SDS was questing the frames or guaranteed-ness of Jacky's High Angle kick in this situation. I think the point he's making is that the float on Jacky's High Angle against a crouching opponent is much higher now than it was in Ver.C.

    One of the biggest things I hated with Jacky in Ver.C was that as a guaranteed recovery counter hit against a crouching opponent, Jacky's (arguably) best launcher was almost useless due to the lack of height it gave. This is a great change IMO.

    SDS/Mike, here are the videos I upped to YT. The quality is poor since I just attached the digicam to my sofa arm.

    As I mentioned the height of Jacky's 33K launcher is identical on normal guaranteed hit in VF5C and from what I saw in that VF5FS match. In fact you can even connect combos like 33K, p, p, kickflip after you guard Lion's sweep. You can see the white light to confirm it's normal hit.

    SDS/Mike, sorry I didn't mean to call anyone out and mean no offense. I just want to point out that you can use 33K the same way in VF5 Version C.

    Its ok Azusabo and i understand where you are coming from. What i was trying to say was the Max height after the Hit was insane. Its leave room for speed errors performing the combo.

    Just looked at both videos to compare the float is much higher than it was in Vanilla, perhaps you can even do the bounce combos.

    I posted those videos more to show Mike that you can use Jacky's high angle for getting max damage in both C and FS after guarding Lion's sweep. Mike didn't seem so sure when I mentioned this on MSN [​IMG]. That's a great observation of you SDS in the FS clip. I totally see that Lion gets a whole head size above Jacky in FS, where in C he only got a bit above Jacky's head. You can definitely have some more room for errors then. I guess there will be some crazy max damage combos Jacky can get from a guaranteed high angle in FS.

    side guard bodycheck Pai's out of throw range, -26

    nice how with vfdojo you can pause & use arrow keys to go frame by frame, unlike youtube

    when it seemed that damage depended on side counter hit, as in past versions of the game, I was still down for 100-120ish damage, but now that we're seeing 120-140 from the front, then 66KK when they hit a wall, it should be changed, I don't think you could ever tag on another hit before due to the recovery
