damn, that was an ugly match. I watched the livestream SSF4 matches the other night, and it made me think, yeah, i'd like to play that game. looks fun.

I watched this in horror thinking what the casual gamer must have thought when seeing this.

Of course there was no attempts to contact from either side or Sega asking for a percentage of the money to solve the problem(both parties are at fault here though). No, we sue first. Thank you Sega for no VF in Evo.

 

Those matches looked awful.

1 throw escape in the whole vid and it was just a spam fest. Ryan Hart played like a prick in those matches.

Your opinion absolutely holds no merit here yet. When you reach the level of Shou and Ryan then you can start talking..

 

The game play looked bad and you thought Ryan was being a douche simply because you couldn't comprehend what was going on. When you get out of the scrub zone watch it again and be amazed.

Guys don't beat a guy down just cuz he doesn't understand what's going on on the screen. He may not be on your level but most of us were there at one point where we didn't know that we were watching high level play until a year or more later.

I know you guys mean well but insulting a "noob" or somebody who just doesn't see or understand the game is counterproductive.

Hazzerone, it looks like a P spam fest to you but trust that both of those players were doing things that most players can not. Their reflexes and reactions are so fast that it may look like spamming to some but those guys know exactly what they're doing. The game is going a lot slower for them than for most players.
You may want to be careful when referring to players such as Ryan Hart as "spammers".

 

No, he said it looked liked spamming to him, so he must be called a dumbass and told that he sucks at VF and to gtfo. That, is the penalty. Especially when he himself is a VF player and not a -insert other fighting game- player coming here only to diss VF. Get the torches and pitch forks, Diss him till he leaves and don't play him online, that'll teach him. lol.

When Dan showed me those Evo VF4evo matches way back, especially the Shou vs Kurita one, that made me say goodbye to SF. And then, I got even more hype for VF5 coming out, I wanted to get a PS3 to get it, but instead got VF4Evo on PS2, signed up to VFDC a couple weeks later(I already knew about this place from SPINMASTER X, from waaaaay back), and waited for the xbox release.

But man, it's true that is one ugly match. Well, now I really see why Sega felt it necessary to re-animate the entire game with VF5FS.

Is P Kage's best poke or something? I can see why beginners would laugh at this match. No evades, no crouch dashes, no throw attempts, very muted combos...

I'm a complete scrub at SSF4, but I could see everything that was going on in EVO2010. I'm a complete scrub in VF and all I could see here are P...P...P...P...
