VF5 Goh Thread

    I was reading in the Goh combo thread and saw that after MC /forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/f.gif/forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/k.gif
    Basara is guaranteed if the knee hits at its maximum range. I tried it out in training mode and it works, but the timing is very strict. I was wondering why does it work if Goh is at +19 and Basara takes 20 frames to execute.

    Also, this isn't really specifically Goh related, but I was wondering what "Super Replay" means in the Notes column of the command lists. Goh's /forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/df.gif/forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/df.gif/forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/p.gif as well as some of his other moves have it listed under Notes. I was also curious about what "recovery counter hit" means in the Notes column. It is listed for moves like Goh's /forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/b.gif/forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/f.gif/forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/p.gif and /forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/db.gif/forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/k.gif+/forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/g.gif. Sorry, if these are stupid questions or the answers are listed somewhere and I just haven't come across them.

    I think super replay is basically when it goes into replay, and replays the knockout blow from 3 different angles (Goh's /forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/f.gif/forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/f.gif+/forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/k.gif should be one). So instead of it just doing a standard replay of the last moments of the round and show the winning blow once, it will replay the last moments of the round, and show the winning blow 3 times, all from different angles.

    Goh's knee has 3 active hitting frames. If you CH after the initial hitting frame you have an extra frame (or two) to land the Basara.

    Recovery counter hit means that your attack lands after your opponent is recovering from a move. This term is also known as minor counter or mC.

    finally got to play the game again

    does Goh's 3P have a tech crouch now? I did 6PP on hit into 3P and it beat wolf's P twice. It looked like it crouched under it. I don't remember it being able to do this in VF4. Is this a new property or is this some fluke?


    Also I was using Goh's 9K+G against predicted throws. What is the best combo from this move? I was doing it into like BT K then 66K(which i don't think was guaranteed).

    Was 6PP hitting on MC? That would explain 3P beating out Wolf's punch.

    Anyone know how many frames it takes for Goh's /forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/f.gif/forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/f.gif/forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/p.gif+/forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/g.gif and his back turned
    /forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/p.gif+/forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/g.gif catch throws to execute?

    "Although it takes 6 frames to turn around, turn around moves like Goh's P, P+K, 2+P etc ignores these 6 frames.

    So say Goh does PK4(-2) and Jacky block and do elbow(14 frames exe), Goh's turn around P which comes out at 13 frames (11 frames plus the -2) would beat Jacky's elbow."

    posted earlier.. im trying to figure out the math and apply frames to my game... But im a lil confused.
    -2 for the pk4 on block, minus another 13 frames... so thats
    like -15.. how will that beat a 14 frame attk?

    Another question... Im confused about throw clashing.. can ppl give me an example...sorry out of topic
