    I've signed up. I also haven't played for ages but I'll put in a bit of practice beforehand. One final VF5 showdown before probably giving up on this.

    For those entering the European VF5 open championship, matches will be set to best of 5 rounds with 45 seconds a round. Amount of matches for a win will have to be determined by numbers entering. Dural is BANNED from the tournament (looking at you, Seidon). Button binds will be allowed, even though they shouldn't be.

    Those on xbl who want to practice can add me. I'm always happy to play. Hope to see you all there.

    Marly, what are the rules of the tourney in terms of how many games do we play and whom? I've always thought single elimination is bad because if two decent players clash, one has to end up getting knocked out. Seeing as we have plenty of time and we all want to play lots, maybe we should all play each other once, or something similar. What do you reckon?

    The tournament will be run in a round robin format. Everyone will play everyone with a playoff at the end for the top 4/8 depending on numbers. I think this is the fairest way and gives everyone the chance for games.

    Adding Beligerent Feck to the list of possible players.

    Jide may make it down later in the day as well. Tournament will now start 4:30 sharp. because of the round robin format we have a bit of flexability if you're entering other stuff. Shouldn't clash with anything else though.

    Hey guys, I kinda forgot about this, but Gutti sent me a message on XBL today asking me whether I'm going or not, and now I'm thinking it might be a nice way to say goodbye to VF. You know, go out with a BANG!

    Just got one favor to ask: would it be possible to crash at someone's place for the night? If I have to pay for a hotel as well, I reckon it's gonna be pretty expensive/far away from the venue, so I'm not really feeling that.

    If that'd be possible then I'll be there, I'm thinking saturday-sunday only would be fine?

    PS: Any idea how many setups there'll be? Would it help to bring an additional xbox+VF?

    Guys, Sunday will be finals day. The casuals will be OFF from what i've recently heard, so no VF on that day. Friday and satuarday (12th and 13th) only [​IMG]

    Shame Krye, would have been good to catch up. Very expensive to play a few games though.

    Marly - What about TVs? I believe the main thing we will be lacking is a tv, we can't rely on any there as far as I remember.

    Dan I am bringinig a monitor down as some my fellow Reading heads asked me if they could borrow mine for their hotel room. I am down on the Friday morning and will be there when the venue opens with the Reading crew. Shame none my fellow Reading heads play VF [​IMG]

    Dragon twins told me they'd have tvs so I've not though about that at all. We need to provide consoles, wires games and controllers.

    Actually, my second 360 not working. Gonna buy a second hand one tomorrow.

    I'll be bringing my 360 with me, including two copies of the game. Only have one arcade stick (The massive 2 player sized Virtua Stick Pro) but hope I get it to fit in the suitcase.

    Hopefully the riots have calmed down in most of London. This girl I've been fooling with lately told me she's worried about me, lol.

    It's completely died down and never touched that part of the anyway. Should be no different from usual by the time you get here.

    Hey MarlyJay,

    Is it necessary for me to bring the 360 along? Was initially going to bring it since Dan was thinking of staying over from the Friday to Saturday. He's coming in on Saturday morning now, so I was thinking there might be no need to have an extra unit with?

    Leaving for London tomorrow super early morning. I still bring two copies of the game though and extra cables to hook up to monitors, if needed.

    Alright Marly, just spoke to Red Dragon about him bringing the extra monitor. Apparently he doesn't have space to take a 360 with him, so if this means that we will be lacking a unit to play on, then I guess I can still try and fit the machine in my suitcase.

    By the way, if we have two HD-widescreen monitors to play on then I will bring along my HMDI-splitter so that we can play in true versus style during the finals of the tournament. Much more intense and better for concentration when not sitting next to each other, hehe.

    I have 2 360s. I don't think we'll need any more. I've lost one VGA cable, so only have one. If another is needed i'll go buy one in the morning.

    If you wanted to play in the hotel, i'd be happy to leave one of my 360s with you while you're here. Otherwise i'll be carrying them across london for a couple days [​IMG]
