Yea but the lag in DOA4 was absolutely horrible. That game was unplayable online 75% of the time. While it would be nice to be talking to a few people at once while playing, if it breaks the game then you've paid $60 for a chatroom.

But im confused now. Most of this thread is people talking about how lag-free the game is, and now suddenly theres all this talk of lag. Whats the deal?

you must have a shitty connection then because on average i've not experienced what you're describing in the statement above. in a laggy game, yes, you can clearly see the frame time delay and must buffer combos well in advance...overall tho it's very responsive and sometimes i can't tell i'm playing online.

regarding the doa lobby suggestion...no thanks /forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/smile.gif as funky and cool as that idea was the lag was absolutely horrendous. i much prefer the simplicity of vf5's online approach.

nah, not talking about talking during the match. Im not talking about a doa style multiplayer either.

What I mean is like a party system where you and your friends are in a lobby. In that lobby you pair up with someone and proceed to play your match seperate from that lobby, <u>with no connection whatsoever to the others,</u> so no lag. But after the match instead of returning to the menu you return to the lobby so you could pair up with another friend.

Imk just talking about an easier way to play different friends in succession without going through the process of creating a match and sending an invite every time.

I guess I shouldnt have mentioned doa in my initial post about it, i was just reminded of the good times I had goofing around with friends or even strangers in doa. wich in my idea would happen in between matches. (or you just could go straight to a new match)

Whatever reduces lag is the way it should be.

I always made the smallest rooms possible in DOA because you'd have a better chance at not having lagfests. I'm not sure how anyone could think otherwise.

I can't invite friends to a game , friend reports the same,
I had my first match online the buttons suddenly got changed on my stick caused me a loss /forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/frown.gif
(checked it to be sure and the stick is fine works 100% offline), went on again same thing happened had to play with no guard wtf!

XBL has been totally fucked up today. It drops me out like after every match and its like 5 tries to get back in /forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/frown.gif
My friends report the same from other countries.

Make sure your player 2 button config is the same as your player 1.

yeah silly me /forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/smirk.gif , yeah something going on with live, still had some quality matches so far, only person so far I recognized is showking, hardly any lag within europe, all matches have been playable.
LOL though at the Machi online tactics of the new players, it's so cute.

I wasnt talking about Finland-USA matches with average latency of 2-3 seconds. I was talking about within Europe matches. Game has couple frames lag even at best of times Id say. Whether that matters or can be compensated is a personal issue I guess.

Although Im hoping that today was just a bad day in the net. Sunspots or something.

Gosh, I must be the worst Akira player in the world, I can't beat anyone nowadays, or maybe he's too hard to use.

I guess I really suck at this game.

I did beat you Fulaani.

But I mean people who have 80% and over Win Ratio, I stand no chance. Akira is pretty slow and easy to evade.

Once you side step Akira he's easy pickings and you can block all his moves since they are so straight forward.
