    And why not?

I'm willing to bet that the game will be available before Evo.

Are you saying it won't be out before July? [IMG]

You can bet all you want [IMG] but all I'm saying is that until the release date is officially announced, then making plans around the fact that it'll be available before/by Evo would be uncertain at best.

Sega Blog Post about Evo appear to suggest a release before the event:

But I guess having contingency plans in case something goes awry with the game release might be good [IMG].

Well, I fully expect FS to be out by then. It would be stupid to have a launch party for a game to be released like 2 months later.

But if not, I'm up for playing KOF or SC5, since I'm entering those games @ evo. As well as marvel (half-seriously, :p)

akai, thanks for pointing that out! Wow, it suddenly hit home to me just how close we are to release. (no pun intended)

    Gentleman, start your engines!

I'm going to see if I can make it, will take a fair bit of planning and i'd probably need someone to share a hotel room with.

They are super sketchy with this release date. I hope I can believe everything I read!

Also I'm entering Marvel and I hope the new TTT2 is there too.

I don't get all the unease about the release date? Final code is in the hands of MS/Sony as we speak. It's not like physical product where there's a manufacturing delay, as soon as it hits certification it could feasibly release anytime.

I've been to a few release parties such as vanilla MVC3 and the game came out 5 days later. The last one I went to was the Twisted Metal launch party 2 months ago and the game came out exactly 2 weeks after that.

I hope Sega follows Capcom and Sony's timing of releasing their game 1-2 weeks after a pre-party.

Well, it's in MS's hands now, so who knows. I remember Skullgirls didn't get a confirmed date until almost 2 months after it was shipped for approval. Let's just hope we get this sooner.

If I can get the time off of work then I'll be going.
