    In this vid at 0:25, Eileen does a triple punch into that jumping punch (don't know command) which supposedly beats lows. However, you'll notice that even though Shun does a low punch before the jumping punch, Eileen completely misses.

    Does this happen in vanilla as well? Is it a stance thing?

    Eileen's [2] [3] [6] [P] superman punch is a jumping mid attack. I've already mentioned it has issues.

    I noticed that as well but dismessed it as a Shun thing. Furthermore, given that Shun seems to have retained his VF5 vanilla low punch animation, i wouldn't be suprised if that could also happen in VF5 vanilla.

    'tis a hitbox thing. Been there since vanilla. 236P will fly right over moves with low profiles. This includes the 2Ps of Eileen, Lion, Shun and sometimes Aoi as well. It's not just 2P though it will go over moves like Akira's 3P+K and 1K quite consistently.

    Not really an issue as 236P has never been much good as a jumping move. Eileen had 9K+G to beat clash in R and Vanilla (236P Clashes) and now she has 9P to beat 2P, which 236P never actually did properly anyway. The strength of 236P now is that it's +3 on block. I'm shocked i don't see 6P+G then PP236P or 3P236P against backturned opponents.

    Just to add another example of 236P's ridiculousness last night i was playing Hazzerone and he crouch dashed forward under it. He was using Akira, one of the larger characters.

    The Kantou Area C finals were streamed live today on SEGA's vf5fs-otenami USTREAM channel. There was also a Kumite event featuring Chibita (LI) and Kyasao (KA).

    I've updated the main post with links to the above recordings.

    Tomorrow (Sunday 6th May, Tokyo), the Kantou Area B finals will take place and I'm assuming they'll be streamed live as well. The scheduled start time is 2 PM Tokyo time, so check out the USTREAM channel then.
