I'm wondering how many folks will be staying through Sunday? I'd love to help set up some sort of post-event shindig for people. Lunch, karaoke, and games maybe?

EDIT: Dennis, are you thinking about carpooling? I was going to go down on Friday afternoon and stay through Sunday, staying with some relatives in OC.

Due to my schedule, most likely I'll take a flight on Saturday from SFO to LAX. I'm wondering if there is any Norcal people would like to go together and it's easier to hang out.

I'm likely flying into Long Beach on Friday (closer to where I'm staying), leaving on Monday. A bit of a ways out from LA, but as long as I don't have to deal with LAX I'm happy.

To those searching for cheap airfares: Try looking at other SoCal airports, though be warned that you may have to take public transit for a while to get into LA proper.

 

The airport's just a royal pain in the ass to navigate and get in/out of. I've had many an hour-long TSA wait there when going home...

but it is the closest to the venue, so yeah.

 

It takes A LOT of time to do security check when you depart from LAX. A LOT....

 

Last time I took 2.5 hours window and barely made it. It took so long for baggage inspection, and I was fucked up because they claimed my pens core was liquid, not allowed for carry on. WTF was that?

 

Darn... wish I could go at least to see the game first hand. Ah well, good luck to everyone who is going! Show Fuudo and Chibita that the Japanese aren't the only force to be reckoned with !
