VF5FS Pre-Release Party Attendee List

It will be good if local players can throw some ideas here. For example, when/where are we going to meet up? The time window before actual party is an issue for people out of town. Any ideas?

 

Hey does anyone know if we bring our own sticks or will they supply them for us at each station? Mine is a little busted.

And I'll probably be staying through tues morning if anything is going down after the party or Sunday.

 

So I decided to make a drive to Sunset Blvd to check out the area/location today. (Mostly so I had a good idea of where I'd be going so I wouldn't get lost on the actual day.) For anybody planning on driving, parking seems pretty easy. In one direction there are several metered parking places, and in the other direction there seems to be a large amount of two hour parking until 8 pm. (I'm guessing it's unlimited after that, but don't quote me.) One note though, if you are planning on using the two hour option park on the opposite side of the street from the venue. I'm not sure, but it looks like some of the resident homeless have made a dumping ground on the same side as the venue. Wasn't a big deal during the day, but you never know at night.

As far as food goes if you are willing to walk a few blocks there seem to be several hole in the wall restaurants and cafes. A bunch of Thai, Mexican, and one American/Indian fusion place (seriously they had a Tandoori Cheeseburger). That being said all of the places seemed fairly small. Depending on the size of the group that wants to meet up, it might be better to just meet somewhere farther away and commute to the venue afterword.

 

Not to be picky or nothing but they should have picked 6 more top japanese players some that i can think of are Itoshun brad, SHU Shun, Koedo Jean, Joseph Akira, the silver ranked female aoi player whatever her name is etc,.

Oh yeah and to all that attend enjoy, record as much side footage as you can, and hopefully soon after we will be playing the game online even the demo will help out a little.

I'm sure some of the local guys can figure something out before the event for meet up to gather and eat, even help out with car pool insead of everyone using cabs to move around.

I'll be driving down on the Friday before the event. I can fit 3 maybe 4 people in my car. I know the area but I'm no expert. Lets figure out a meet up location and get a count of who really wants to do this, and who can car pool.

 

Myke: if there's a decent place to store stuff, I can bring my 5d2, lemme know if you need me to...

Also, my plans got a lot more vague since the friend I was gonna go with actually can't make it, so I'm pretty much up for anything on Sat/most of Sun

 

Unfortunately, I didn't get an invite. Would really like to go to this, since I live in LA. If anyone can't make it, I'll take your invite.

Just heard that the event venue will be supplied with Hori FS sticks, so if you aren't bringing yours, you'll still be covered!

(but you might want to bring a 360 stick anyway)

 

It'd be cool with those of us that attend could get a hori stick or maybe even a copy of VFFS for free. Who knows, I'm hoping we get some kinda swag; maybe even a T shirt.

 

This is great news. especially since I am traveling with clothes, tablet and camera. that's it.

Awesome, thanks for finding out Zero-chan. I'll definitely use their sexy new Hori FS sticks then and I'll bring my 360 SSF4 TE stick just in case. Can't wait to hang out and play all you in FS.

 

They will most likely be using the same Hori sticks they've been using at console tournament events in the past such as Final Round & NCR.

I'm sure they will have plenty of FS T-shirts. They did at Final Round.

 

LOL I got an invite even though all I wrote was poems for Chief Flash and Dennis hahaha. Sucks for the people who actually wanted to go and didn't get an invite.
