VF5FS Pre-Release Party Attendee List

I apologise for not reading this thread.
I have an invite to the event if someone would like it please let me know as I can no longer travel to the LA event.

I'll be at the event. First time playing FS since NCR.

 

Ok, so it's 6 days till the event and we have not heard if Sega will have side Tournament on Saturday night for all those in town for the event.

My idea is a easy one, If Sega is not ready for a Tournament on Saturday night, we simply run one without them trying to work out details.

A simple single elimination Tournament would fit the party and should be quick enough to run though. Looking at the 1st post, there are 33 members attending. I took those names and added them to a challonge bracket on ramdom settings. I came up with this:

I have not published the bracket yet so it is easy to change. The point of this, is that we have a backup plan in place for those who want to be in a VF5:FS single elimination Tournament on Saturday night IF Sega does not have Tournament setup for us.

For those who are attending, what do you think?

I would say there is probably no time for us to have a side tournament. The party starts at 7PM, and there will be a lot of stuffs need to run, isn't it? I don't think the official iam8bit staffs would like to last this event until late enough, even though we want to.

 

For all the people flying from out of state to this event, this party should have started at 5pm minimum. I can't call this party a epic fail because I appreciate getting invited and I appreciate Sega & 8bit for putting a awsome event together for the fans to get together and celebrate together. But this event should start earlier because the stateside VF fans are eager to play VF5 FS matches with each other. Some of us have never played Final Showdown and some fans would want to spend the entire Saturday playing Virtua Fighter 5 Final Showdown

Has anyone reached out to Iam8bit staff about this. I'll talk to Valle about this at WNF this week for his input since he is hosting the event.
