VF5R Location Test Movies

    Jeff looksmore leaner and faster. Hit Jab seems to be facing downward to remedy hitbox issues. Im glad they gave him a Punch back in the knee combo. He look much better IMO.

    I don't know what drug your on but all his new animations look good to me. He looks faster for some odd reason while still retaining his strength. But WTF? Jeff has a High Angle kick now lol!

    On lightweights more, 85 on aoi without extra techdamage, Im not even sure if thats max atm.

    edit: oh it was about midweights, nvm.

    On Pai and Blaze I can get 97, anywhere, but you can also get 97 up to Lau, with a different combo but they have to be near the wall(they don't touch the wall though, it just allows the next part to connect from not being pushed too far).

    I digress though, I dont want to derail.

    Tidbits: In the Jeffery vs Kage vid Jeff's usual knee combo (MC knee P P bounce KNEE) does 87 points of damage as opposed to 97 in the current vf5..I guess bounce combos generally takes less damage or perhaps the move itself takes less now. Also the second knee combo he does on MC (P P 66PP) also takes less dmg then before..this makes me think that perhaps the knee takes less damage.

    Actually, that combo does 89 damage. Turn off tech roll /forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/wink.gif

    If your opponent doesn't tech roll or quick rise, this is dependent on which strike you use to end the combo, then you can get a light down attack. so add 7pts or more, depending on CH light down attack.

    The added damage from false tech roll/quick rise, would then be the lesser of damage but you get pressure from it depending on the matchup.

    Just saw the vids and as a Sarah player all I can say is.....

    SO AWESOME!! Sarah looks so buff now!......

    - is that a FULL (high) circular into a juggle starter out of the flamingo? combo off of CH. But off of a ss attempt? Nah.... couldn't be. Still looked sweet.

    - Did you see the damage off of /forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/b.gif+/forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/k.gif because of her new jumping kick juggle ender out of flaminfo? That is sick. In 5 the only way you could do damage like that was if the /forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/b.gif+/forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/k.gif was deep enough to land /forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/df.gif/forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/k.gif during the possible shake. AND you had to pray you timed the schizophrenic /forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/df.gif/forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/p.gif,/forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/k.gif, /forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/p.gif,/forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/p.gif,/forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/k.gif right. More than often I'd just simply whiff the whole thing after the /forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/df.gif/forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/k.gif

    - Gatling Beat out of Step. OMG that is sweet because of......

    - what looked like an uppercut to a back hand juggle starter. combo off of ch. It's quick, a juggle starter, and mid...... What more could you ask for? Those 2 moves combined with the just-frame triple kick makes Step SO buff.

    - the main juggle ender to all her big-air combos is pretty friggin nice by itself. There's some pretty good pushback for those who don't duck the end and it looks like a NH to me. True? False? Either way, before there wasn't much (damage-wise and knockdown wise) to discourage a guy from just turtling by ducking after you went into the flamingo. /forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/df.gif/forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/k.gif gave you shake and advantage, /forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/f.gif/forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/p.gif+/forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/k.gif into jf triple kick is good but it's still a just frame. Somersault is risky as hades. And while I like /forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/b.gif/forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/k.gif it's mainly a 2p/2k/sweep catcher, the new juggle ender tells you immediately, <u>DON'T DUCK WHEN SARAH IS IN FL</u> unless you like being on the ground playing the getup game with a good chunk of your life gone.

    - knee out of flamingo (not sure i'll use it much)

    - Is it just me or is the /forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/df.gif/forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/k.gif+/forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/g.gif just frame way quicker? (Unless that wasn't the same move slightly reanimated)

    - the 4 kick string out of FL looked delayable after the first kick in one of the vids.

    It's stupid to fix hitbox issues for small characters by having jeff "jab" most characters in the chest instead of the face. It also looks like it has less range in R, although obviously that remains to be seen.

    As for 9P+K, no, this doesn't look stupid at all:

    Just one more step in the process of turning jeff into bob sapp, like worstplayer said.

    On a gameplay note, did you notice that kage techrolled out of the 2k+g combo after 4k counter? That's gonna suck, unless they made 4kp delayable enough to easily hitconfirm.

    Yeah looks to be half spinning from front side. They keep finding ways to nerf that bad boy lol.

    EDIT: I'm not too sure what I think about Jeff's jab hitting where it does, but I actually think it looks really slick and less dull than the old jab. And not sure how you would make a jumping down punch + uppercut look non-awkward with Jeff lol. I happen to think it looks fking boss though haha. It also looks like you get a free 2K+G off it too, hmm hmm. Maybe even 66PP on mid-weights and lower??

    It's funny in these vids cause a lot of people just idle after rounds now. Guessing to check out the idle animations.

    I love that eileen now laughs when she fights after wari. However that might also make it easier for your opponent to realize you're in wari but c'mon it's just so bad ass I can't hate.

    Was it just me or did Kage's LP have a different animation?

    They're all different now. EDIT: Think I lied to you. Read that they had, then saw some that had, but seeing Lei and Aoi not sure if those are different lol. My bad.

    And yeah, I noticed they gave Shun audio cues as to when he does certain stance options. Mainly his new drops to laying down stance and stuff, but still added those cues. Side blocking sounds drastically different too, like punching cardboard lol. Just more evidence audio is very much apart of the gameplay in VF.

    EDIT: Taka's lift throw to headbutt followup is sick. Be such a fun throw to complete if that headbutt is guaranteed. Kinda reminds me of Jeffry's headbutt after a successful P > P+G out of threat stance on block.

    yeah it looks like some of the audio ques changed, which I'm fine with. It sounds a lot more distinct making it easier to differentiate what just happened.

    It's a good thing to bring Kage down a little bit, at least more balance.

    Sarah has some kind of new hit-throw out of Flamingo too. She does it in the Sarah vs El Blaze video posted today. Looks like an axe kick into hit throw.

    Sarah is going to be a monster it seems. That juggle ender is gonna give her some better damage right away. I have a feeling Sarah players will be happy...

    El Blaze's /forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/u.gif /forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/p.gif + /forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/k.gif jumps much lower now too...
