The Lau vs. Vanessa showed me all I need to know. Looks like that made the damage from /forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/f.gif /forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/p.gif + /forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/k.gif better, which is like the biggest thing I've wanted for her personally. So I'm straight...XD

I think the side guard stun can be a potentially brilliant change. Note how the Vanessa player did a good job constantly OMing to Lau's side and forcing him into side guard nitaku situations. This can really favor the offensive player who now has an additional method of pressing to create an advantage -- and can make a match a lot more exciting.

Definitely; I've noticed that in a lot of the Taka clips he's been screwed over when caught from the side because of his size and the explosive nature of his attacks. I'm sure it won't be long before we see some truly devastating side combos, especially on the light weights. Personally I'm looking forward to dusting off the cobwebs off of Brad's /forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/b.gif/forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/f.gif/forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/k.gif (if he still has it).

The decision to implement side guarding makes me think that matches will become far more "organic" in execution, increasing the depth of positioning even more overall.

Atb (and others), you have three options:

1. Follow my guide to sign up to nico nico douga in the “Help” section.
2. Copy the last part of a nico nico douga clip link (“sm” etc) and paste it after the following link, courtesy of KoD: http://d.hatena.ne.jp/video/niconico/
3. Wait for someone with nico nico douga access to rip and upload the clip to youtube.

 

Srider was right, the characters no longer feel as if they are "floating" in VF5r. Imho by far the most realistic representation of getting knocked off your feet in VF up to date /forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/thumbs_up.gif Guess we should come up with a new name for floats /forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/crazy.gif

...also OS /forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/b.gif/forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/df.gif/forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/p.gif+/forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/k.gif hit throw is so violent it scares me /forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/blush.gif That said, 63 stance independant damage is too good, especially if the move retains its crouch-during-execution propeties.

 

how is it to good?? it looks like it's still -12 on block or more =/
