Yeah I duno. You would think this would be an easy thing to deceipher given the quality of that video too. I say, the Eileen player did begin to stand back up didn't seem to be in a full standing position. Then again, Eileen's posture is whack so maybe that's throwing my eyes off haha.

 

doesnt matter since its not a low throw. you can shift guard at the last frame and guard mid/low moves.

I love Wolf's new half wall throw, very brutal. The intro movie is extra nice, Jeffry was the only vet character not to get destroyed. I couldn't stop laughing at the El Blaze part though... someone please make a gif out of that scene.

 

The Jacky fight was pretty good. Nice match up...fight was fast as hell…got to give it to AM2 VF5R seems to be perfect…all the additional moves, items, stages and characters are awesome. Jacky’s new throw was sick and Lei throw was crazy! Love the wmvids also, esp. since I can’t get YouTube at the office. The quality is also nice, I gave up on Eileen because she seemed too weak but R seemed to beef everyone up a bit. Jacky’s P.Diddy jacket was hott and Oh yea Wolf’s DDT was BANANAS! R is just sick!

Also in the Kage fight...I noticed a new animation when he got tripped up, like he slipped on ice and fell face first or something....nice

 

It's actually mid-high according to the movelists Sega handed out at the first location test.

Hey, did I finally beat you guys with my 1st video post? HeHe, HaHa

 

Lion still seems to be one of the few if not the only character that can't deal any 70ish damage combo without wall. Every stapple combos are 50ish damage.

Even shun who is supposed to be a tricky/confusing character with lots of mixups has a lot of 60/70 combos (sometimes even safe on block). From what I see right now Lion has a good addition with that high full circular (his side game was quite non existent in 5).

But the fact that chars like shun have so many new (seemingly) powerful tricks makes me believe he 's still a bit weak compared of the rest of the cast atm.

Didn't you watch the latest Lion vs Eileen wmv? Lion scored 80+ dmg off of a head crumble that ended in /forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/k.gif/forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/k.gif. It's been mentioned before; we're still watching clips of a game that's in its development stage, nothing is 100% nailed down, for better or for worse.

Again, you've also got to take player skill into account. Ironically I would have thought that watching clips of Chibita (he may be a genius, but he’s not invincible) would've galvanised your opinion of Lion in R *shrug*. Regardless, my point is that different players have gotten to grips with their respective characters faster than others and when you add an incomplete build into the mix you're bound to witness skewed results.

For what its worth, my advice is to just chill; enjoy the coverage and wait for solid, complete, data to surface.
