It looks to me like Lion can deal more damage in VF5R. His /forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/f.gif/forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/f.gif/forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/p.gif for one can inflict much more damage than before.

Another character who has difficulty inflicting 70+ damage combos is Kage. Do you think he's weak?

However, agreed that Shun (without having looked at his stats) looks more powerful than everyone else.

Anyway thanks for the vid I didn't saw it earlier, this 80 combo is nice. But it's from a 66P counter hit which doesn't happen very often, still the combo should do around 70 on NH which is good, I hope its not an "Eileen only" combo ^^.
That new mid kick that crumples on counter seems nice too.

It most probably has, since it's 2 weeks old and there's also myke's comment BUT i'd like to link it nevertheless because the vanessa CPU is barefoot in this one /forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/laugh.gif Barefoot and wearing her old VF4 vale tudo shorts! (albeit in a different colour) Is that her new outfit for VF5R?! /forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/crazy.gif

 

As I don't tend to stick to any one character for too long it's nice to see lovely new moves for everyone. I liked that in one of the vids, Aoi vs Lion, the last hit of Aoi's /forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/p.gif /forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/p.gif /forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/p.gif /forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/k.gif combo in the air flips Lion before he hits the ground. Possibilities for new combos there or just an aesthetic addition?

I'm also loving Shun's new moves, especially the ones from his lying down stance, and into it as well, seems like it'll be easier to implement that stance with those additions. But seriously... what's with the noise he makes when moving around on the floor in that stance? He sounds like a chihuahua or something.

 

Akira's new double fist move that crumples (on counter?) looks like it will be useful and deadly. 72 dmg with just a double jump kick ain't bad at all...

 

I don't know how you guys can analyze all those moves just by watching the vids. yall are either insane or incredibly observant. or both, lol /forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/crazy.gif

Nah we're not insane (most of us anyway). We can just reocgnize those added moves in R and their properties just by looking at 'em because we have a lot of experience with the VF5 that's all.

Nice fight, and I know it's been established before, but Jean has some crazy-damage combos...and his SPOD-like move looks cool, I wonder if it's as hard to pull off though...

SPoD isnt hard and Akira isnt complicated.

 

I called this like 2 months ago I knew Jean would have spod/basara type move (it just seemed natural to his character). My guess on the move is P+K+G, 43P+K, AND 6K. It doesn't look like he has a 4K option on the end of the move but who knows, he just might.

You know it's spod/basara type of move by the damage output 69%, and the second hit reminds me of gohs' second hit in basara.
