I think he has been able to do that for a while now actually. I've seen him do a few times during matches.

Yeah when VF5R first came out I thought -- oh man, those wall combos. But after I've played it for a while, I really like it.

    1. Matches are INTENSE, especially the ones with the rectangular rings. One mistake can and will cost you more than half your life against a good opponent.

    2. It's a nice way to reward the better player, who knows how to take advantage of walls to punish lesser players.

Looks to me that the average damage for wall combos in R is around 110 - 120...

It's really not that much more than what was possible in VF5.

Those wallcombos are just much more consistent in R and walls are closer in some cases. (or at least thats what it looks like)

The KNEE can scrape the ground during a match and push an opponent along the floor. I've only seen it lift when I hit someone from a weird angle after KO.

Konjou, there's nothing ground breaking in these videos.

1st video is just demonstrating evade throw escape with guard.

2nd video is just demonstrating side throw escapes (i.e. adhering to the side throw escape rule).

Now we can finally make the creepy J-horror Aoi we've always wanted to.

myke if you notice also, they teach you the new way of throw escaping, holding G while doing multiple throw escapes.

in one sequence, @ 1:10, pai does evade --> 4P+G, 2G, (while holding G) 1P, and STILL escaped SPLASH MOUNTAIN!

DONT YOU SEE THAT MATE?!?!? /forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/laugh.gif

    No, I don't see what you describe. HOLLA! *a-heh* *a-heh* /forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/laugh.gif

At the 1:10 sequence, after the evade I see two distinct throw escape inputs with no holding of G in between:

    2, 4P+G, 1P+G, (hold) G

While the G is pressed slightly earlier in the 1P+G escape, I'm pretty sure this is unintentional. Remember you're watching it in super slow-mo, so it's like being pressed a frame or two early. Turn on input display in training, and you'll see that sometimes your own inputs will result in a P or G arriving a little early.

And, even the onscreen text says:

    lever down
    neutral
    4P+G
    1P+G
    release P (while holding G)

No mentioning of holding G in between the TE inputs. If there was something special or magical happening, I'm pretty sure the video author would say so.

G holding is only for side throw escape~
