I know some of you have been clammoring for an FAQ for the base, but ther are people clammoring for me to build one for them. Time is nill with school and all.

BTW, this stick is a stick I was working on, and thought would be cool with the Akira wooden background with the wood base. Cool eh. If you're interested in the stick, email me.

Okay, I ordered the Super Joystick and ten pushbuttons...

    I'm so EXCITED!!!!

Um, this may be a little off topic but does this method of joystick building work with other systems too?
My joystick will have a switch on it that switches from 8-way to 4-way and I was thinking of making it so I can switch it to an atari and play Ms. Pac-Man or Defender!!!
That would be the pinnacle of cool.

it's not a switch, its just a plastic guard on the bottom, and restricts stick movement to 8, 4, or 2 way. You must manually adjust it by turning, then screwing back down.

oh... But I can still make it work for Ms. Pac-Man?

davidiii: I don't think the super stick is suited for VF play...the competition and universal are much better. Of course, I'm not speaking from personal experience, but I have never heard anyone say anything positive about the super/universal sticks pertaining to use with fighting games.

Ok Catch22, I'm still pretty confused as to how you're getting these parts and such. Sanwa has no shipping options to america as far as I know and arcade infinity has failed to reply in over a month. At this point I'm just gonna break down and buy a hori tekken 4, but it would be VERY nice of you to give me a violent shove in the right direction, I'd really rather do this myself instead of having to drop the 60-135 dollars on a pre-made stick.

Their hours really suck...I believe they're open till 5pm on weekdays, but I'm not really sure about the weekends. It would probably be better if you called them first...don't want you going there and getting pissed of at me because they're closed /versus/images/icons/grin.gif .

email Sanwa, requesting an order. Someone should reply to you. Be aware that there is a minimal order, although I'm not sure how much.

Ohterwise, I can sell you a stick set (w/3 buttons), stick wire harness, 10 terminal connectors, 2 extra smaller buttons, for $50 shipped via FedEx. Sorry, that's the best I can do since I get charged an arm and a leg for shipping from Japan.

If you're interested in ordering from sanwa, the shipping is a fucking killer as catch said, but *hopefully* it will be worth it.
email this dude: kurihara@sanwa-d.co.jp he'll be glad to give you the hizzookup

I'm contemplating what material to use for the base...
    Any suggestions?

Also, how exactly do I build a base anyway?
