im creating my own arcade stick and i was wondering what is the most comfortable space between the joystick and buttons? i have heard that the (hori VF4 stick) buttons and joystick are to close. How big is the space on the actuall arcade machines?

i was planning on using the Hori configuration of P, K, and G when i built my stick, but making the actual joystick and buttons farther apart (you're right, they look very close together).

Maybe I'm misunderstanding... but just in case...

    The configuration is G, P, K (not P, K, G).

Okay people. My credit card just cycled. I'm ready to buy a stick. TELL ME ABOUT THE MAS STICK. Will I be able to sit on the couch with this thing on my lap? Or will it crush me?

Yeah, I know, but for me, "punch, kick, guard" rolls off the tongue easier than "guard, kick, punch" so I type it like that too... the stick when I build it will be just like Hori's (but I will have real bottons for all the others too). And using a Happ super stick instead of ball (short, bat shaped).

    Dimension808,
The MAS stick won't crush you but it might be a little thick for most people. I know a lot of people who play with them this way but that's not my cup of tea. I tend to use my MAS stick on a chair in front of me. It's arcade perfect and that's why I love it.

Do you know any places I can have many choices of sticks in NYC?

Well, my name is Sou. A Japanese guy sometimes show up at Chinatown, using only Akira now, Hiro's friend. Guys, please keep in touch from now also.

howdie folks, the bad news is that not a single site listed in this thread has any more of the VF4 joysticks for sale. I tried them all.

http://www.toysnjoys.com (Hawaii) does have the Tekken4 sticks in stock for $64.95. Another $20 for second day air.

I've got my name on several mailing lists for notification when more VF4 sticks become available. I'll let you know when I hear anything.

If anyone else hears of confirmed stock of the VF4 sticks please let me know. Thanks all.

Well I had been using the Shadowblade for a little while on my PS2 for most fighting games. And yesterday I picked up the T4 joystick by hori here in Singapore. And I'm quite pleased with it, it's leaps and bounds better than the Shadowblade. Only qualm I have is the stick on the Hori is perhaps a little too close to the buttons. I haven't even tried it on Tekken yet :p

    Hi ppl

I seem to have the Tekken 4 stick for an EXTREMELY reasonable price from http://www.lan-kwei.com , who are currently doing them for $39, which is roughly £26 (UK).

Thats a such a good price, I wonder if they are legit.

And shipping costs will probably add up to be more or less, I have contacted them, and they wiill reply with the final price inc shiping.

Has anyone dealt with these ppl before and can give em a good reference?

That seems to be the normal price it's selling for in Asia, so I'd reckon the shop is pretty legit.

Anyone know some decent online stores in Asia that would sell the DOA3 joystick? My PS2 to Xbox converter doesnt work with my T4 joystick.... *sigh*

It's a conspiracy to bleed more money out of me /versus/images/icons/wink.gif

Are you able to order a MAS stick with a VF4 3 button config and tight spring? Or is there only 1 configuration? People tried to convince me that the 6-8 button sticks are good for other games but well the only reason I have a PS2 is for VF4 and have no intention on playing the other fighters.
