yeah i use cammy she's hella fun! i prefer her in the alpha series though, i love the air catch throw! hitting that 2-3 times in a row is pretty demoralising. stops the Ryu and Ken's doing the old jumping fierce kick to sweep routine.

i struggle with the timing of the back hand. is the best time to do it as they launch the projectile or when its close?

Don't do the fierce version of that move too much, as a smart shoto can predict the spin knuckle and DP you after the spin but before the hit.

Interesting you ask... The hitbox feature in training mode is simply the bomb for that type of thing. If you go in there with Cammy (or anyone else), you can see where and when they're vulnerable and when they're not... The Cammy Backfist is invulnerable at the very beginning until part way through. The catch is that her head stays vulnerable the whole time.

If they try to sweep you, their move might just go through you and you have a chance to hit. If they throw a fireball, wait until it's close and do the back fist attempting to pass the fireball as early/late as possible to go through the fireball while you're still in the invulnerable part. Usually, if timed well, they have to block it (at least the last hit) but it does very good block damage from what I can tell; a lot more than usual I believe. If you predict a fireball, you'll hit them for a damaging 2-hit. However, if they jump in and you're in the middle of a backfist, you will get hit because they'll be hitting you're always-vulnerable, head hit box.

The invulnerability is in the beginning of the move, so do it as late as you can. I like this move, although its so slow I dont see many other uses other than going thru projectiles. It feels like it can be interrupted easy unless the opponent had already committed to doing a move like fireball.

Ive tried to learn cammy myself.

Alright Overfiend... let's get it on tonight (SF I mean). =)

And after reading this thread I can't believe people are trying to attribute VF techniques to this game. You're right about it being 95% reaction.

I play SF by the seat of my pants. I do know what works, but I like that this game gives you the ability to just do shit! This game is an offensive game. Heck, the rounds can be over in seconds sometimes.

It's funny (strange) when I run into someone who is awesome at defense but can't play the game otherwise. I played someone like this the other day. I was amazed at how well he could block even my most confusing setups with Ryu. So... throw, throw, throw, oh, and throw again! =)

I'll be around tonight to play a few if you or anyone else is down!

Bro, if it really went down like he said it did, then he gets mad props from me for doing what he felt was the right thing to do. For example, I'd like to shake his hand just for making Fei Long's jump-over kick a simple qcf motion. That right there made me think about buying the game and then I read what else was tweaked and I had to get it. I def don't regret buying this game.

^Agree Tony! This game is worth the $15 no matter how you cut it... With SF2 HD you're getting a shitload fun and game-play per every dollar you paid. I'd have to recommend to anyone, even if they had never played SF before... It's just worth so much more than $15...

He put them on blast(Backbone)so most likely it went down like that. I'm just amaze and bewildered on how Capcom(Japan)Just didn't give a fuck about the Street Fighter Franchise anymore. Street Fighter 2 is still the most selling franchise in the Capcom catalogue. The Super Nes version of SF2 is still on top till this day(Most copies sold for any Capcom game, ANY)

Even Ono, had to fight with Capcom to get SF4 made. Thank goodness Capcom USA holds the rights to the franchise now. Because, all this hype and marketing wouldn't happen if Capcom"5gig install"Japan was handling the franchise now.

Major props to Sirlin for not giving up on the project, major props. Think about it, the dude was trying to learn how to code, or better yet, understand it, CRAZY! Nothing was stoping Sirlin.

No doubt. That exactly how i felt whe i started creating characters for M.u.g.e.n. Everything he's understanding about Collision boxes takes time to learn so Kuds to him for learning that system.

'tis sad but true she is wide open right after she spins as her blue hitbox pops up way before her actual action hitbox shows up so if you just rapid fire LP or LK you can knock her out of it pretty reliably. It can even be done to her hen she's going through fireballs (maybe I using the move too late or something?). Currently I'm chalking it up to funky lag because normally (expet rapid fire situation) when i'm getting hit after hoping someone's attack some wierd lag jump happens.

It's funny with cammy I can tear through people up till a certain skill level of player. Then I start fighting against E-honda and get shut down no matter what I try. Even the dudes on the SRK forum don't know how she should deal with this matchup. So far they're solution is get a slight lead against him then run away the rest of the fight, if you are having an uphill battle you're screwed gg

I almost want to switch mains but I LOVE cammy so damn much I can't do it I just can't

I'm working on that Cammy/Honda matchup, but some matchups are just bad. I think it will end up 3-7 for Cammy.

Given that it was practically 1-9 in ST, that's an improvement.
