If I'm not talking, it's because I don't use or like the mics.

He a tough match up and he broken if u ask me. Now that he can nullify fireballs with a Jab head rush. He can also charge 3 times faster than all other characters. When i match up against him i try to make Honda players think that im going to fireball them to death. I'd often jump when they assume a fireball is coming so that the Jab headrush will stop in the danger Zone.

This is a tough match period. What is even worst is the chip damage he can do after his submission holds.

I used some honda in player matches today pretty much mashing and it was czy how easy it was to win. I wonder how much easier it'd be if I actually knew what i was doing with him.

Dee Jay seems fun too, messed around with him a little bit. Cammy is just so perfect tho

The best anti-Honda chars are Chun, Ken, and Dee Jay

Chun it's a bit tricky, but her vertical jump forward stops all of Honda specials, she can do jab-fireballs at distance, and if Honda jab headbutts, you can recognize, and tag in a stand strong on recovery, you can also sweep as air defense against honda.

The only time it gets tricky if is they guess right a couple of times and you get cornered, then your job is to get out, but that requires riskier tactics like walljumping or throwing.

Those were some fun matches last night SDS! Can you believe that guy, Willmurder4food?! What a joke. That guy is freaking hillarious!!!

I haven't had that much fun with the mic in awhile. That guy just sets himself up for ridicule non-stop. I realize some of it could be an act, but I don't think entirely. He may very well be the biggest baby sore loser I've ever seen.

Honda's block damage from the hand slap is nasty as hell. If he just does that any time you're close, getting up or whatever, you eat so much block damage it's like getting hit with an attack... Plus, the 1000-hand slap charges faster than it used to so people can pull it out without risking too much or wasting time hitting punches before the move comes out.

Mos Def Brother. It was a pleasure. That Ryu is a Killer Man got damn. After i left i had to go to practice and do my Kara-Cancel to see if i still had it lol! Murder4food is a Clown though and his Blanka IS weak to me. I remember him from when we were playing hyper fighting and he turns me off to playing against him.

Next time we'll play a player match with just like 3 or 4 people in he room so our waits won't be long.

    Great Games man.

I'm having a lot of trouble beating E. Honda too. I was reading on the SRK wiki and they were talking about counter-picking your character vs. knowing all of the match-ups really well.

The guy who wrote that section seemed to believe mastering one character and knowing the match-ups was a better tactic. He also said you have to learn what your character can do to shut down your opponent in any of these matches, whether they are the best character to play in that match-up or not...

    So, my question is:

Can anyone tell me some match-up specific things for beating E. Honda with T. Hawk? It's a tough match. He's so hard to beat without a fireball/projectile attack...

I'll show you in a XBL match on how to handle Honda with T.Hawk. Writing it down won't do justice. You have to see it. Is frustrating(Depending on the Honda player)but hey it works. You could then apply your own methods.

I'm feeling like the shortened mash moves (Blanka's electricity, E. Honda's hand slap, Chun-Li's Lightning Legs) come out fast and can be used to devastating effect. I never remembered getting Reversal electricity like that. Those moves are twenty times better now that they take less presses.

My whole T. Hawk game is trying to set up ticks, so that's where I'm at right now...

Re: VFDC's Official SSF2THD:R Thread Of Crying Mad

So I have some insight for how cammy can be honda. She needs to rely on her Hooligun throw more to beat out a turtle honda that keeps torpedoing and hand slapping. You need to be close enough so that youre MP/LP hooligun throw can go over the slaps/torpedo. Land that a couple of times on them and they'll start to jump to hit you out of hooligun and such opening them up for you to cannon drill them on the way down or just cannon spike them out of the air if you decide to do a fake holligun.

Any thoughts. . . besides that I have no idea how to spell hooligun lol

yeah, as soon as a good player sees the hooligan startup using honda, they just jab torpedo. I guess if the honda player has slower reactions, you can get away with it more but I think vs a good honda player, its way too slow. Just my 2 cents.
I think most the mismatches in the game still exist but are slightly more favorable now for the weaker char.

LP Hooligan goes over the torpedo no? she jumps way up there.

Cammy is in a tuff battle against honda, just trying to think of ways to break him down other than waiting him out and using jabs to beat his torpedos when you expect it.

depends on the distance. if you go over him, I think the option is to switch to the FIERCE torpedo instead to escape if you whiff.

distance I'm talkn' about fighting honda at with cammy is right outside his FP slap range, otherwise you're too far to use hooligan to get over the slaps and too far to still be up in the air while the torpedo you.

I'm guessing if cammy whiffs their hooligan she should cancel the move reseting the situation.

I don't know if this works agianst torpedo but I know with hurricane kick you can Hooligan throw them out of it if you do FP version from the round start distance. It's very gratifying when that works haha.

If cammy can throw him out of the torpedo that'd be huge news.

    T. Hawk is my main right now. I like him a lot! He seems stronger than before... The safe Hawk Dive alone changes a lot of the match-ups I believe. That move can punish fireballs for sure, which seems to be a trend in HD remix.

Non-projectile characters seem to universally have more/better answers to fireballs. Predicting a fireball can punished in more ways than just jumping in now. With the safe Hawk Dive I can play some nice mind games with Guile or other "flashkick" type moves. Either jumping straight up and not Diving to bait a whiffed Flask Kick or jumping back to feign retreat and then Diving forward is a neat mind-game too. Hawk Dive is much better now.

If I can just get own some type of tick into super, I'll claim my T. Hawk is ok. Right now I can land it on wake up (my wake up, not them) or after a jump-in jab, but not the "real" way where I tick with one or two ducking jabs and 360/720 throw. I can't do it and I usually get punished when I try cause I'll jump or something else stupid. Regardless, I find T. Hawk really fun to use.
