VFR soundtrack impressions - better than Ver C? ^^

I'm not the only person here who sometimes watches certain videos just to hear the music, am I?

 

Ok, almost completely agree. I do like the akira theme in 5 better but the R version has grown on me. R has a great soundtrack though.

Anyways, this is probably the best VF soundtrack I've ever heard...With 3tb being a close second...

My top 3 in R are:

Jean's Theme-I love every genre of metal and I'll be using Jean if R ever comes out...Great theme.

Sarah's Theme-I don't like Sarah, but the guitar in this stage is sick, I love it! ^_^

Jacky's Theme-Not a big Jacky fan either, but this is a really great BGM.

Someone said they didn't like Akira's new music? *DMX voice* WHAT! WHAAAT! lol.

Nah i'm lovin Akira's new music, way way better than the VF5 one (imo of course). I think Jacky's new stuff is dope too along with Eileen's. They f'd Kage's music all up, his old shit (VF5) was hot but that R stuff is garbage.

Can't really remember anyone elses stuff right now, I know there was a few others I wasn't too fond of, but if it ever hits consoles I can just use my harddrive music for my background music sometimes like I do right now.

But yea, I think some VF5 music is better than the R version n vice versa.

 

Another vote for Akira and Snow Mountain, but Pai's stage music is fucking hot too! I also like Taka's.

 

i like that they added the classic OSTs to it as well

 

I hated Kage's VF5 theme. It was just way too repetetive. His R one, while not great, is still miles better.

And I think we're all agreed that the R themes of Wolf and Sarah are awesome.

 

Everyone agrees that Wolf and Sarah's are much better while Lion and Lau's is that much worse

Yea to each their own ay. I thought Kage's VF5 theme was the best one on there. Yea it's a kinda (really) repetitive but I liked it alot along with the lil flutes n stuff in there. It just had that "alright lets get it on" type feel to me. And now it's gone /forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/frown.gif lol. That's just how I feel bout it, and now I know how you feel about it, we can't all like the same thing right? That's why Baskin Robins got 31 flavors /forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/laugh.gif

People knocking Sarah's theme from Vanilla 5? That was the best one next to Jacky's.

Vanilla 4 has the best music so far for me.
Lei, Akira and Lion had killer music going for them (along with their stages being cooler at least in Evo "old stage").

I like Jeans theme in R. Vanessa's and Aoi's also get me pretty hyped up. Eileen, Lau, Pai, Jacky, Sarah, Wolf and Dural stages have a pretty good tune going for them.

The rest for me is kinda bleh, not bad but not spectacular either. Except for Blaze who's R-stage has probably the worst music in VF history for me.

R's tracks are pretty solid for the most part. The only track I don't like are Pai, Blaze, Taka and Jeffry's themes.Sarah's VF5 Theme is IMO right behind Kage's as the best track. I will agree that VF4 has best tracks in the series, though.

I personally like ALL of the VFR over the VF5 variety except for a few:

Flat out hate Jacky's in R, sounds like someone smashing a guitar into an amp. Shun's in R isn't bad but I prefer it in VF5, I really like that stage. And Goh's. I don't "dislike" Goh's in VF5R, I just think his VF5 version suits him better. Seems like I'm the only one who thinks that though.

*background noise' that games like these have, is osmething Im not really thinking, although you notice that it isnt there when it isnt. Personally I cant remember a single tune from R or VF5 so Im not gonna say anything. Only thing that I can remember right now is lei stage in vf4.

Yeah... I haven't really noticed the BGM since VF2... and that's from hanging out at arcades with the game blasting. What I notice most now are what I consider weird soundFX: Wolf's kicks are shot gun blasts. Most sweeps still have the Virtua Racing race car sound attached to them. Kage's multiple rolls still sound like Sonic, right?
