Ok, I don't like playing VF5 online. I hate the fact that I can't set the controller to my settings and I don't feel like getting used to another configuration. I won't be playing online much. I didn't realize my settings weren't mine until after my very first match against Brisal.

 

You have to set your P2 side the same config as P1 when you are joining online matches.

 

Oh. That would explain it.
