Assuming we get FS. Are most of you guys gonna stick with xbox360? or how many and who plans to migrate over to PS3? (i assume they'll have online as well.)

For much as it sucked for ps3 only guys, i kinda liked how VF5 funneled all online comp onto one system.

 

I'll be on the ps3 only, most likely, since I've been without a 360 for almost a year.

I could eventually get a 360, but it's unlikely I'd do that now, just cause.

 

Don't have a 360 only PS3 Slim (which is awesome)! I absolutely hate the 360 controller and I don't like fight sticks either. I managed to get top online rank SS in DOAU on Xbox with the shitty S-pad, and even beat the best online player once with it. So i can get down with there craptastic controllers. But it wasn't as good as the PS controller for me. No way I'd play this on 360 unless it was exclusive and i'd buy that $199 system in that case, but I would be at a huge disadvantage with that pad.

Plus if you want to play with the best Japanese player you're gonna need the PS3 version. The 360 has little to no sales in Japan, so all the Japanese players will be on the PS3.

Actually most of the JP fighters who actually purchase the stuff for home console probably have a 360. But playing trans-pacific is whack anyway, and it'll be worse on PS3.

I'll be buying for both PS3 and 360 if it's released on both consoles. Gotta uphold my promise to buy two copies if it comes out.

 

360 for me. I'm playing vf5 for almost 3 years on my xbox and 2 years with a stick (i bought so much sticks for this console).
It will be a pain in the ass if sega releases this game for ps3 only, because now i'm too used to fight with a stick only, i don't wanna buy another brand new stick to play on a ps3 brand new.

Oh and i hope they will release some cool limited edition with some extra stuffs like a stick with a vf5fs arts on it.

I've had zero problems playing with Japanese players on the PSN, time zones were the biggest deal. We use to run up the scores in RE5

 

I won't be playing with Japanese folk online anyway so it doesn't bother me which platform the majority of them will be on.

Still, even at that, you wouldn't be playing the best players as they'll most likely be in the arcade.

Xbox for me and if I get another PS3 I'll touch that as well.

 

It's about playing the best players you can. In which case that would be online, as no one plays VF in this state, and no one travels for anything that isn't 3S/GG.

 

I'm thinking about treating myself to a 360 slim, based on my progress with Veteran Affairs.

So I might be back on to play.

 

PS360 here. Will almost certainly play mostly on 360 as that's where the majority of my other games and friends list is. XBL is a better service to play on.

@steelbaz - I use sticks for fighters but could easily go back to pad for DOA, I'd recommend looking into that new pad due out this year. Hopefully will help pad players.

 

A new pad sounds good, so will do
