That clip possesses a wealth of information on Brad! The usual temporary internet folder method doesn’t work. Is there anyway to save this clip, or could someone host it please?

Eileen seems overpowered to me at this point. for such a speedy character to have 75-80 point combos...

In the 2nd round, right after jacky's [6][4]+[P]+[G], look how she gets a big string guaranteed after yellow counter w/ what looks like a pretty quick move, for about 70 pts.

maybe they'll tone things down, or could be because people don't know how do deal w/ her yet, but seems pretty strong, and most people haven't even started using her evasive properties during/after the strings either. I've also noticed many of the Eileens are in the high rank range for the moment, in the 4 to 6th dan range.

Yes. That's exactly what I was thinking. That jumping kick combo she did after that mid attack that caused a stomach crumble took a 3rd of Jacky's health and her [P] strings in general seem to be very damaging.

I've likened her to a hybrid of Shun and Pai with her evasion, deceptiveness and sheer speed. I'd be disappointed if her damage isn't scaled back somewhat for such a nippy character.

I felt for that Jacky; he was pretty good, considering that he'd managed to unlock Jacky's D costume. You're right about the overall success of players who use Eileen if the current crop of clips are of any indication; people just don't know what's going to come next and she has the speed to capitalise on that hesitation.

I like the fact that Eileen can do a string combo and land a thow or attack and evade at the end.

Also, i would like too see strings combos into hit-throws getmore of an inside look. Like with Vanessa, P P down+kick into the beat you up takedown. That would be sweet. So much possibilities out there.

    I can only dream...

I have a hunch that the 3 kick string has some difficult timing, kind of like Kage's ft dragon punch... anyone know ?

We don't know what recovery of her moves are like, and it could be a lot of her high damage stuff is highly punishable. She definitely doesn't seem weak, that's for sure.

Perhaps Sega have taken stock of their past mistakes in Evo and have decided to scale back new characters, rather than add to them piecemeal, like Brad and Goh. You’re quite right; she may be seriously disadvantage after her more acrobatic strings. I think I even recall her falling flat on her backside when she whiffed a somersault move in a recent Eileen vs Eileen match. It’s too early to say, I just wish we had some frame data…

I also hope they fix the glaring issue of taller characters punching over her head. I'm sure the same goes for El Blaze too.

I enjoy the Eileen with the cactus collectible seriously tough game. I like the throw that Eileen has I think its the one that Lion has but the way I saw it played it seemed like it came out of nowhere (the JE vs. EI match).
I've also noticed that some of the chararcters collectibles are Fighting Viper characters, are any of the collectibles Last Bronx characters, just curious.

I had a quick browse through VF5memo's Eileen section and from what I could gather the jumping kick combo is [2][3][6][K][K][K], all three hits being high apparently.

Hardly commands a seasoned player will have trouble inputting on demand. Yet, I gather from the site that the timing for each [K] is tight, like Kage's [6][2][3][P]+[K][P][K][K] series.

Edit: So you might be right, KTallguy.

There’s a new Lion vs Jeffry clip at:

    http://www.hk-vf.net/staging/frame_set/tv.html

The page layout has been changed so clips no longer appear in a separate media player but in a integrated one to the left. Just copy the finished clip from your “Temporary Internet†folder if you use IE or, as Luddie said earlier; you could bring out the properties of the file, open the URL in media player and select “save asââ¬Â.

Adio posted these 2 pages back:
Aoi: The red pagoda garden. Low walls.
Pai: The mountainous countryside. High walls.

I would say these two are the other way around because of the background music.

What, Pai's stage being the "red pagoda garden" and Aoi visa versa? It's all merely speculation but I based my assumptions on the strong resemblance that the stage I believe to be Aoi's has to her actual stage in VF4. That and the Geisha/women dressed in kimono in the background.

Lau and Shun's trademark in previous editions have been the Great Wall of China and a raft upon water respectively, while Akira has always fought inside a dojo or near a temple. Also, consider that Lei-Fei and Kage who's stages from VF4 greatly resemble the ones I suspect them of having in VF5.

Goh gets the rundown dojo due to his Judo background and bad guy status, which leaves Pai with the only oriental themed stage left. That's my logic.

I agree with all your stage allocations, except for Brad and Sarah. I think the aurora stage is Brad's given its European look (and I assume Brad is European). Sarah has that cocktail dress outfit and for some reason I fit that in with the party stage.

The garden's music is basically a reprise of Aoi's pre-Evo VF4 theme, so that argument doesn't fly.
On a different note, I'm very glad they added a stone floor to the field stage. The bare flower texture from the AOU trailer was really terrible.

You know, I had the same opinion for a while. I actually wish it is so, because I really like the aurora stage’s bgm. On one hand; the Bryant’s are well off and Sarah’s 2P does allude to a possible party, you’re right. It’s just that the stage’s respective bgms seem so far removed from my perception of their character.

Sarah’s theme tunes have always been so fast paced and erratic, mirroring her psyche (her brainwashing by J6 and subsequent arduous recovery) while Brad on the other hand comes across as a dandy; a self-assured playboy who wouldn’t feel out of place at such a gathering as one at the mansion stage.

Also, his C costume (white suit jacket with embroidery on the right breast and upturned collar, tucked in red t-shirt with green and grey camouflage patterning, matching white slacks and black shoes) is pretty smart looking too. Though, then again it could be interpreted as smart casual which in that case it would fit right in with the open plaza of the aurora stage. A “man on the prowl after darkâ€Â, if you will. /versus/images/graemlins/tongue.gif

/versus/images/graemlins/confused.gif…Heck, you’ve convinced me. And I’m happier for the realisation too as theoretically Brad now has the coolest theme tune in the game. /versus/images/graemlins/cool.gif

Brad is supposidly Italian in VF, even if Burns is nothing Italian (maybe it's a Stage Name).

The Penthouse Party on the hills is so Californian, the view of the city lights below the hills is just like on top of Hollywood Hills. Fits Sarah better.
