    Man I love Tgood's posts!

In the coming console war I hope things get creative amongst the two parties and Sega chooses the right horse to back for their series. It would be even better if they multi platform vf , I would proably choose the system that has the better online system (which is xbox right now) .

VF5 for Console? or Maybe Not

In the case of the VF series, Sega does not have a reputation for taking a game right into Console.

I would love if for any of the new generation consoles a VF4:FT comes out.

I saw some nasty news in "The-MagicBox" today

    Here Read them and weep:

    =============================
    O T H E R

    - Sega confirmed that its new Lindergh arcade system is not based on any next generation consoles, instead it is powered by Imagination Technologies' high-end PowerVR graphic processor.

    - Sega mentioned that they don't have any plans to release console ports of the upcoming arcade titles The House of the Dead 4 and Virtua Fighter 5, both games will run on the next generation Lindbergh arcade system.

Besides the fact that this has already been posted in another thread. Use your common sense here. The statement is given as of right now. VF5 is not even out in the arcades yet, it's probably not even finished. So obviously they are going to says CURRENTLY there are no plans for the game to go to consoles.

It's very obvious that VF5 will go to arcade first as every other VF games have been. Then, it will be ported to the most popular console available to maximize sales potential. That is also something no one knows as of RIGHT NOW.

Lastly, so what if VF5's arcade board is not similar in architecture to any of the next generation consoles. VF4 ran on naomi2, which is not similar in any fashion to the PS2, and they ported it to PS2..... So you can bet that it'll come to console and it'll be ported to most likely PS3. If everything goes according to the prediction that VF5 will be successful in the arcades and that PS3 will be the most successful console in Japan.

It seems rather futile to pose questions about VF5 or a console release since no one knows anything about the game, and there is no chance it'll come out for home before it's released in the arcades due to VF4's huge success. Lets please drop VF5 discussion until some real information comes up. Like screen shots or something. Thank you.

I think you misunderstood him. He said: In the case of the VF series, Sega does not have a reputation for taking a game right into Console. .............He is absolutely correct.

He's not saying Sega doesnt put VF games for home release but that they dont rush them for consoles. I dont have exact release dates for arcade and home releases ready but for VF its always over a year after for domestic console release compared to arcade date. I remember anxiously waiting for VF3 to come for home port and it took FOREVER!

VF4:FT has been out for over a year in Japan and no announcement has been made yet for console. WTF Sega! /versus/images/graemlins/mad.gif I know their logic of keeping arcade revenue strong but C'MON! Give us FT already! /versus/images/graemlins/mad.gif

Yeah, you're right. I did misinterpret his statements. I apologize for my taste of writing. It's just that I'm getting the feeling that people are still talking about rumors of VF5 home version. All I wanted to get across was that until a while after VF5's arcade release, all rumor talks about a home version is way too early for now.

    Just from what I hear....

During the MS conference they will announce VFFT on X360. Also look for a upgrade in the graphics department

    No problem!
    I see your point:

You see a header with a cool topic and all that there is inside are rumors or information without a solid source.

I am only sorry because the gap of the version that we play is a little far from the FT.

In the Dominican Republic, there is no chance that I will see a FT or a VF5, so imagine how I feel when the subject of "console release" in on the table.

Since I know that there is some time for VF5 (even on arcades), I could live with a VF4:FT even on the XBOX 360. This console is around the corner and if it comes out with a VF4FT, then I will buy it right from launch.

It's true that any information regathing VF5 and console release have a lot of air.

/versus/images/graemlins/deadpan.gif Even from FT, I don't hear anything.
I guess that panic too early.

/versus/images/graemlins/tear.gif Please Sega have mercy on people that live in a third world country...

We need our VF to live...

Wow, that is some true dedication. Someone copy and send this to Sega and if they don't sympathize then damn, they are ruthless and cold-hearted just like the stereotype.
