I just saw the video... I think those are just poses.... If it's still Virtua fighter then they wont integrate weapons into the gamepley... If they did it would be for a future installment... ie VF5: Evo?

 

Nah man it wasn't stupid. Had I not known the answer, I'd guess the same looking at the pics. I can barely read Japanese btw lol.

Also, about the weapons, yeah it is already said it's just for additional poses/quotes. I don't see VF ever adding weapons to the arsenal, it isn't Tekken after all (Kekeke. Sorry, no hate on Tekken, but 6 is looking whack).

 

If they were ever going to use weapons for combat in a VF game the only way I would like them to be used would be for close up down attacks. It would be the only logical way in my opinion.

 

Let's not jump to conclusions on whether or not items will be used outside of intro/winning animations. Until there is any evidence, which there isn't (after all, no gameplay changes from C to D), it is safe to assume that the items will be what they've always been: purely cosmetic.

 

I heard that Goh can be customized with a special switch blade which he can use to jig people during close combat. If you defeat you're opponent with this technique 3 rounds in a row while losing no health Goh reveals himself as Sheng Long as a winning pose. Someone tell me if this is true.

 

why is it called knockout trial 2? was there ever a knockout trial 1? unless.... it was evo?

 

Knockout Trial was in VF5 ver C in the arcades

Well, we don't even have half of the Version C stuff that was added lol. So I duno really. If we get it, it won't be for a long while I'd imagine.
