hmm, i dunno JB, i mean if edward beat dai, than it's reality, it would only be pretty low if you try to cover it up as if it didnt happen. plus it's big disrespect to edawrd. if it happened that way, then why not?

if you have like 5 matches of edward getting bang up and 1 of him winning, then stick up like 3ish losses. no need to be harsh even if he lost alot more, tho. it's up to you.

here's the way i see it:

if players dont like it when there is media of them getting bang up, it means the match wasnt about them, it was about their opponent's play.. matches are not always a comprimise and it would be kindda boring for there to be 200 five rounders of jabs, i mean it would get predictable.

sometimes domination can be exciting amoung close encounters, it shows what the individual can do where as the close matches shows a neutral of thinking. the main thing is for there to be a balance of matches with this. for example, if the opp gets bang up, then stick up a match where he/she also gets to show what they are capable of too.

well, my main point here is you dont have to hide things which really did happen, if you want to be realistic, then that's real. just make sure that there is entertaining play, and that somebody doesnt get offended by not showing their good side of play.

    simple.

    Hi All,

We had bare jokes on the way there actually we were in the 1st class cabin on the train
without 1st class tickets, so naturally we were looking out for ticket inspectors. Then
someone mentioned that the cabin we were in was just like the one out of a James Bond movie
where Bond was fighting with Jaws, the big guy with the teeth. While we were talking about
what we would say to the inspector if he asked us for our 1st class tickets, this massive
bloke just walks along the corridor beside our cabin and rather than think up excuses, I
looked at the size of this bloke and started gathering all the money I had in my pockets to
pay the bloke whatever he wanted for a first class ticket, coz none of us was gonna argue
    with him.

Jun and Ryan were official invitees, when We met up with Optimus straight-away I know he was
thinking "gate-crashers!" (Jason and I) so When we arrived at East Croydon station 5 mins
from Onny's house, we decided we wanted to get some food and so, not wanting to have
ANYTHING to do with the gatecrashing, Optimus kindly offered to show us the way to the fried
chicken joint and then split to Onny's house ahead of us because he needed to use the toilet
desperately (Yeah Right!), we exposed his tactics and said nah mate, you're staying with us
boyeee, hehe. When we did arrive at Onny's we imagined he would run to the bog and do the
business, it was either gonna be the real thing or Optimus just walking into the bog locking
the door behind him and just standing around in there for a few mins and then a fake flush
at the end and then come out again.

I think in the end Opti managed to hold it in while he had a few challenges first... It was
    pretty funny at the time.

I'd just like to say that I enjoyed myself very much, everyone was friendly, no bad
    feelings, no arguments.

Onny was a good host very patient with all our requests and most of all the way he welcomed
me even though I was uninvited. My attitude was, I'll just tag along with the invitees, if
there's no space or I'm ruining someone else's fun, I'll just watch for a while and leave. When I arrived I felt invited /versus/images/graemlins/smile.gif So I took full advantage and entered the tournament getting 4th place :p I felt a bit guilty bumping Jide out of the 1st round considering he was official on the list. Sorry dude.

I was fuming when I lost to Knee-ninja coz I really wanted a prize. That's the only time I really wanted to throttle someone that session but again Onny's session hosting and diplomatic skills shone through by offering some seriously dry prizes for 1st, 2nd and 3rd place and making me feel happy that I came 4th and probably Jide that he got bumped off in the first round too, coz when I peeped over into the front room (loser's bracket)
they were having a great time. I was in the front room for most of the session hehe.

It was nice to see that ALL session attendees were formidable opponents. I enjoyed playing the guys from the North and Scotland, I guess I left some of my Aura up in Scotland before I came to London, I didn't expect they could be that good at VF! I was born in Glasgow u c /versus/images/graemlins/smile.gif

To sum it up, it was nice that people made the effort to come from far, and it was plain to see that Onny had put a lot of effort in and spent out of his own pocket to make the session happen. So I'd like to say thanks to Onny and everyone else.

    Laterz.

To get a balance, you need to save some matches when you lose and not just when you win /versus/images/graemlins/tongue.gif

sounds like you all had a great time, sorry i couldn't come down with Andy, but i had cash flow problems. (the problem being than non seemed to be flowing in my direction.).
not to worry though, i will see alot of you in Manchester on the 25th, hopefully i won't get whooped by you all, but if andy did ok, then I should be fine.
it's good to see that you appreciated Andy's speed on a pad, his Akira inputs are impressive, though he plays better with Kage due to his nature of spamming out attacks. my inputs are lame (i play on a pad too), but i play as Jacky, so it doesn't matter, his inputs are all piss easy!!!!!
well, i hope you all can make it to Manchester as i look forward to playing you all,
    later!
