Respect to everyone that turned up yesterday and especially to Ryan, Flippin 60 Win winning streak(thats a record innit?)!! His akira was sick!!Kinda reminded me a little of Oshu's Akira, and he uses all the other characaters mad as well /versus/images/graemlins/shocked.gifRepect to Dat(the Knee ninja) as well his Akira scares the hell outta me /versus/images/graemlins/grin.gif
Shame Bareknuckle only got warmed up towards the end when we had to leave was starting to look dangerous, next time have a warm up sesh bro /versus/images/graemlins/wink.gif Everyone played pretty good, highlights include archangel almost beating Ryan, Dats Akira(18 win streak), Faded coming all the way down from scotsmanland /versus/images/graemlins/grin.gif, Stalwarts Sarah,them other two Akira players and Vosor Managing to beat Ryan(even if it was just once). Didn't get to see Odu's jeff though think Ryan wouldn't let him stay on /versus/images/graemlins/tongue.gif

.getting "exellent" on VOSOR /versus/images/graemlins/grin.gif

.getting 2 rounds off ryan and selling it majorly in the last

Well i think i'll give my props out to people now. All in all it was a good day Ryan and co getting huge winning streaks 60 +. I played pretty poor practicly all day and switching to my own namco stick didnt really help.

Highlights for me were:

omega beating Ryan
Samauri going so close on ryan, getting him with the gatling kick /versus/images/graemlins/cool.gif
Vosor ending ryans streak.
seeing odu's akira and lei
Seeing ryan terminate people
seeing a new lion player, jide i think it was.
and also Dakira solid shit as usual.

unfortunatly that particular match wasnt saved /versus/images/graemlins/frown.gif ,
but the other match where i completly sold the finishing combo that would ended RH's win streak was salvaged.
All the matches that were saved on that day should by put up very soon. (cant wait to see them again /versus/images/graemlins/laugh.gif)

Playing Ryan is great it, you have to really "stay on top of your game like boxers do" (Phi Lile Cipher)

Cant wait till next week and play everybody again, hopefully Ice-9 will be down to give us a good candy ass wooping /versus/images/graemlins/grin.gif

But in my opinion everyone played well even though they beg to differ but props to all the people who turned up.

I agree with everyone's highlights. Also Q_Otaku's Akira was good! considering only practice he gets is at play2win.

As for lowlights: Not facing Bare knuckle, Archangle and Ragin Silver.

Hi kids,

Saturday sure was a riot and it was good to see so many there to play. The number of player seems to be increasing steadily each week and I think that Steve may have to consider moving the Soul Calibur crew on to the pavement (where they can make as much noise as they like /versus/images/graemlins/tongue.gif). I'm not serious aboutt this btw, but it is conceivable that there may be a need for a new venue in a few weeks time.

I was playing mainly with Wolf on Saturday (with a little of both Jeff & Pai). I had a 2 short 'streaks' (<10 wins each) plus the odd win here & there. Ryan was on fire and played expansively with numerous characters. Vosor (Gerald) arrived fashionably late and performed as well as expected. DAkira (I think?) also had a good 17+ streak before the arrival of Ryan & I could only beat him once at the start of play. It was interesting that who seemed to be avoiding who at the top though.

I'm having a bit of trouble matching faces to nicks so I think that we should have a board up next week with everyones' name and nick on. The board could also be useful in clarifying the playing order. Thoughts?

you people make me laugh at times....well yeah i came in really late but i did ok actually beating Ryan and Oda at least a game each which i was happy with since they are my worst nightmares although ryan beat me 3 times (boo hoo) man, he`s got mad skills, and i ended up 1-1 with ma man Oda...leveled out with bareknuckle who i beat a few but he came back,won and went on a mini win streak so cool, and optimus who beat me once with wolf..so im smiling.....all the play is rising though, that ref with the getting "UNSWEET" shun has a tricky sarah!ok im gone. see you guys next beat down session!V

 

Ed, James: Hi, I was the Pai player who couldn't end float combos for toffee. I came late and left early, but managed to get a good few games in. No big streaks to speak of, but did get a few wins in.

 

heh, maybe Steve should take a pic of each player so ppl can recognise each other. Anyway good turnout. Hope its the same this week. I'll try and face some more ppl this time cos last week I was stearing myself clear of Ryan, lol.

Hey guys, is it going to be like 20 players on one PS2 machine?

 

There are 2 ps2 there that have vf4 on them so it's not to bad, but depending on how many people turn up u usally have to wait about 5 mins to get a go, or about 2 minutes if u put your name down for both machines which is what most people do. /versus/images/graemlins/smile.gif
