That doesn't make sense at all. We practice things THAT ARE HARD to get better at it. So yeah, it is hard. It only becomes easier to do with practice...

 

Just to stretch on the fact that the DLC is not the best solution all the time..... Try this simpler Combo with Akira:
Shldram >> P (G) >> DJK. It doesn't work all the time, and sometimes the second hit of the DJK doesn't hit ( I guess it depends on stance), but experiment with it and you can see that it takes 72+ points (Can't remember exactly... ). This worked on Akira, so I assume it works on lighter characters as well.

This is just one example. Try connecting a Shldram (MC) >> Standing Plm >> DJK. I have seen that in one of the movies of Akira VS. Akira too....

 

not impossible, tought maybe, and i'm sure that the joystick helps a lot (i'll be getting one soon) but i can pull DLC decently and my brother does it constantly on the pad. I think SpOd's the harder of the two!
