Jeffery's go to sleep throw has to be up there. I think it was half circle back before? Dunno if it's still in FS.

EDIT: Oh Masterpo already mentioned this throw haha.

And I'm laughing at the Shun and sobering thought jokes haha.

    Goh's 6 p+k in a thong.

    The heck?

Ooguruma is Goh's half circle back throw, translates to "big wheel" and is perfectly tournament-legal (without the knee hit, of course), carries no more risk than any other judo throw (that is, very little if done on a person who knows how to break fall and a soft surface). A senior sandan (3rd degree black belt) in my Japanese club could throw with it very effectively in tournament.

Goh's throws are largely legal and quite good techniques, besides oosotogari version where he drives the opponent's head into the ground (PKP, 4PP) - those can indeed result in an injury or death and would be my answer to this thread, since unlike Wolf's wrestling moves it doesn't require compliance to execute. His normal oosotogari (6P+G) is legal.

The only two throws of his that are not judo techniques are 4P+G (which looks pretty nonsensical) and FC6P+G (it's a "reverse" technique done with a locked arm and dropping the opponent on the face, would result in no score and DQ for the attacker). His down throw from face up, feet towards is also illegal as it's a leglock, and 66P+G results in DQ if thrown out on its own (not as a counter/combination attack), but otherwise those exist in judo.

There is no throw that translates to "front standing foot sweep" to my knowledge.

TL; DR: Goh's PKP and 4PP, done with force on a hard surface are an almost certain serious injury/death with no BS in the mechanics. Don't try at home, don't try in the dojo, don't try ever.

Lei's guard break move would be deadly...in real life it is a jing technique to the throat.

So what do you think about his p+k(not a throw) the two finger fishhook

Touching the face is illegal in judo in the first place, and any kind of punch- or kick-like attacks would get you disqualified if that's what you're asking.

If it's about "the damage"... I believe smashing somebody's occiput into the pavement would still do more lasting harm than fingers to the nose, really. Not an expert though [IMG] .

I agree that pretty much everything is safe, as I posted previously this would be lethal:

What I was taught as "front standing foot sweep" is also called I believe "Scissor Sweep" and it's absolutely banned in IJF competition. Got banned after an olympic trial where a famous judoka had his knee broken when the throw was applied on him.

Lot of the guys in my club liked to learn the japanese names but I've by and large ignored them. I've no idea what any of the japanese translations are. Anytime I see someone hit someone else's knee from the front in judo tho, my "oh shit you're getting tossed out" alarm goes on.

I know a lot of people have already mentioned him, but I'd have to go with about 80% of Goh's move list, especially his throws.
Also, any move that breaks the opponents neck or limb.
I cringe everytime I see Vanessa breaking someone's neck, or Aoi breaking someones leg or arm. Just, ow.

Ah. You must be thinking of kani basami ("crab scissor"), it resulted in Yasuhiro Yamashita getting injured and his career getting in jeopardy (he still managed to score gold at the LA Olympics, despite the knee injury). The technique was indeed deemed dangerous and subsequently banned from most tournaments.

I'd say that this is precisely why it's worth it to learn Japanese names - it allows you to convey the technique easily to people from other clubs and countries, without having them wonder what you mean by "XYZ sweep". It's similar to how fencing terms are French etc.

Incidentally, kani basami doesn't involve touching the knee, a few techniques involve blocking the knee from the front, are safe and are perfectly legal so your fears seem to be unfounded (hiza guruma - Goh's old tsukami->2_84P+G - and ashi guruma, just to name the two most common), and Goh doesn't even do kani basami in the first place. This is the big difference between 2D & 3D fighters.

2D throws (except MK/KI I guess) are anime-based; moves are "big" and designed to look cool.

3D throws are what IRL throws would be like if you just didn't give a fuck.

And I nominate my homegirl Aoi's ground-throws/multi-throws as amongst the nastiest.

I'll have to go with Kage's crazy diving piledriver. No one would walk away from that.

Well I use Goh (and believe me, his moves are NASTY), but I'm gonna have to go with that one Ground Grab of Aoi's that's called Edakudaki. That's one nasty move...

I'm certain that Goh's style of Judo would probably get him kicked out of most major Judo tournaments [IMG] , luckily Judo matches aren't fought in a half wall ring seeing as his [IMG] [6] [P] [+] [G] half wall throw would definitively crush his opponents skull
