Sorry for late chime in. I've thought these questions a lot after a somewhat break of VF. I also have had very limited competitive experience and zero online vf exp before so FS really has turned me on so far. Another handicap is my pad preference, which of course makes play different (worse too) on many levels.

I learned to love VF version of making a choice. Timing the basic attacks is clear cut, throwing is logical and a real threat, evade is logical and characters are very interesting past the entry level. I just feel that in VF you must back up your choice and when it fails, u can easily track back what u made wrong. Matchups and "tiers" undoubtedly exist if VF, but the excess bullshit is overall less frequent and less acute than most others. So I think its definitely a combonation of these factors and surely partly just habitual agreement to VF way of things. I by no means can play any FG competitively, but am an avid fan of the genre nevertheless.

Perhaps I want to feel good the way I react. A good game (GG) is always about reading your opponents choices in a way that not only seems but feels outwitting him/her. Its always reflective, just spamming if your opponent does can feel good too, if the execution and choices made have been adequate. Its so far very hard to define a GG, it may have been for me but a shit failure for another, regardless of win/lose thingy.

Yes i think so. Setupping throws is my cup of tea, since my muscle memory still lacks of combo front. Getting ito opponents head is very satisfying, as I love the moment opponents "wake up" from their normal tactics and have to adapt. I like to take a match where they have not went before (or what seems so).

I try to counter it asap. Before in scrubby times I could not care too much but now I feel much of the pleasure is in the work which meens dojoing and muscle memory/nerve pattern training. My mindset is that VF is a smart game and there are ways to rock any setup. It has very rarely failed as my motivation to get better, more witty player.

Always. Prerry rarely my opps rock in close game but totally suck mid far range though. The feel is that when they are fine mid range, I need to pressure cook then close and change range when they adapt. Up close game is the best and purest part of VF system for me.

Everyone has their most hated moves. Right now I hate Pai/Lion mixups and try to learn counters as much as I can swallow at once. Too much is still too much.

Too little actually. Evade killing is one aspect I really need to expand. My main focus has been on just memorizing fats evade killers and delaying attacks.

Another one which can be so taxing for me that I just back off. Against non-risers I am less cautiois and punish.

With a good dojo like in FS, I dojo all the time. Getting into my chars and opponents is the best way to understand how the game works.

My style is just trying things, adapting and being creative. My enjoyment is on the level of attention I give to my style. Of course jap gamers are cool and essential for aspiration, but first hand experience is the king.
