wow some people are posting fast times...someone said they got 170ms!!!...i've tried again since and cant get near that sort of speed.

what's interesting is say you take a score of 200ms, which would be someone with very fast reactions...that equates to (if my maths serves me) 200/1000*60 = 12 frames (assuming 60fps).

12 frames is a long time in VF frame data land.

 

the lowest i got was 182 average but i forgot to save it.

 

267.8 in 5 tries. guess it explains why I have a hard time hit checking all the time since you have 250 to get that right

what's wrong with looking for the flash, as that's what I do. There was a time when I was fine useing audio cues in arcade games but then I played at the arcade only being good at a audio cue and I couldn't hear jack shit cuz everything was turned up way too loud so I had to use pure visual cues.

 

Reaction time to audio stimulus is faster than visual stimulus, by around 2 frames or so. I used to be able to do the VF4 evo hit checking exercises better if I closed my eyes, honestly.

Looking for the flash is fine on moves with a long total time (knees) but for jabs . . .

 

hmm so for jabs/most 2p's it's too hard to hit check using the flash. That makes sense since I found it near impossible to notice the flash in time (when I'm getting hit) to ETEG in response to a nitaku. Elbows are a bit easier.

 

my average was 252, though i suspect it might have something to do with my natural instinct to read the word "click!" as opposed to reacting to the green background.

You might have flash turned off in the options menu... either that or ur TV sucks
