I take it back about the lion thing, the d+K, K+G is a true combo on MC. SETI on vfhome mentioned that and I tested it to be sure.

So the reward for it isn't bad, 48 pts... almost 1/4th of your life for a low kick MC. But it must be vs. a standing attack and god help you if they duck and you whiff the kick over their head.

    Some other bonuses:

    Full circular
    Uncounterable if blocked
    Sobers by 1 DP
Free f,f+K,K combo or pounce if not TR'ed (spinning hits need timing to TR)

Vanessa`s DS [6][6][P]+[K] is really useless. The AI and all of my friends alike ducks or hit me first every time

Then you ain't usin' it right.

Best used when you know they're about to do a lame recovery attack that will whiff - do the move before the execution is finished and it'll work. When someone rises with a mid crescent, if you're back far enough, the kick will whiff, and the [6][6][P]+[K] will work.

    The crescent is special high?

    Jacky's [8]+[K]+[G]... ugh...

I know it might look good on paper with advantage on block... but it takes approximatley a year and a half to come out... I don't use it...

akira: christ, the guy gets nothing absolutely useless. I think the stance P+K is definitely right up there.

I assume you've forgotten about his catch throw from behind. That might even be in the top 5 of the most useless moves of the entire series. /versus/images/graemlins/smile.gif

Isn't that a proper throw now in evo?

yeah it is.. and also, the old one always worked fine for me... if the opponent gives you his back, they really fucked up anyway. Akira's back throw worked in the same situations anyone else's did (i.e. you blocked kage's df+K+G or something).

Just thought I should mention this.

I was playing 10-dan matches against a buddy (Kage) last weekend. Took us about 25 matches for one of us to finally rank. It was a total miscommand, but I goofed up and did a [9][K] when he was TR'ing. He ducked, and I ringed him out. /versus/images/graemlins/smile.gif

Sarah [P][P][P][8]+[K] This move is seriously dumb, huge as leap in the air with no reward at all, and if it whiffs...... /versus/images/graemlins/grin.gif well..

Jacky [1]+[P]+[K][K][K][K][K] Hits high when you have the option of hitting low, most people duck when they see the fourth hit of this lightning combo anyways

Akira [2][K]+[G][6]+[K][4][6]+[P] because there really is not a combo or flow chart that uses this any more, take a look at Akira's [4][6]+[P] follow ups, no Akira players use this combo any more and use ones like [P][3][3][4][6]+[P] or [3][3][2]+[P][2_][4][6]+[P] instead.

Kage [8][P]+[K] most definately, I have NEVER seen this move used effectively, and as for [1]+[K], Oshu Akira lost a round in KSII by like 5 hit points /versus/images/graemlins/shocked.gif Also, one time Tsuchkimo repeatedly raped this Kage player during a Daioh tourney, after the Kage players would use [6][6]+[P]+[K]+[G] and [8]+[P]+[K]

    Shun's [2][G][P][K]+[P][P]

    Vanessa's [K][8][K]

    Pai's Back Thow [K][G]

kages [8][P]+[K] is an anti rising attack move. If you have a good sense of when people will do rising attack, this move will humiliate them, thus keeping em floored for a while. Other than being an anti rising attack move, there is no practical use for it.

Indeed. Nothing makes you feel like "RARSMASH" more than getting hit by that thing while trying a rising kick. Aggrivating as hell.

Akira`s [2][K]+[G] [6][K] [4][6][P] is not useless, it can be used when your opponent is bouncing, taking the last sliver of life. Plus, it`s much easier to do

If you're quick, you can use it when Shun starts to fall down (as opposed to the hand stand). At least you could in Ver C - and only one person ever tried it on me (was successful though).

pai's back throw gives her a pretty much free standing K followed by whatever combo is best for a low float... prolly, d+P --> ff+P,K ... the damage is quite nice, maybe 55-60 pts.

[K],[K][K] then a small down attack I think is the most damage. Got a friend that's decent w/ Pai, and taht's what he always goes w/.

My votes in for Vanessa's hold G, d/b or u/b k move. It grabs an arm on
hit but getting that hit requires that the stars all be aligned perfectly. /versus/images/graemlins/frown.gif
