i like vf4 evolution better than vf5. evolution's training mode is far superior to vf5's training mode. i really hope vf5 final showdown's training mode is like evolution or i won't be purchasing it.

Man that's hardcore, you should do like a simultaneous arcade play through of the games with Akira and make a video of it.

I'm in China and I don't have a PS3/360. At the moment all I play is classic VF. I also have to play with a freaking keyboard. For sure before the console release of VF5FS I will have a modern console and a stick.

Lately I've been playing VF2 and FMM. Both are AWESOME. VF2 is so fast and offensive. The game is still beautiful today. I am starting to understand why so many view this as a work of art. Gameplay and control wise the game is so far ahead of it's time. I did not really appreciate this game when I was a kid playing it on the saturn. For 1994 the representation of martial arts in this game is also stunning to say the least. Many of the move animations and win poses still look awesome today. Would be nice to be able to unlock all that in VF5FS.

Fighters Megamix is also fun as heck! Graphically compared to the model 2 emulator version of VF2 FMM can't compare. The game it self is awesome! Total fan service. I always wondered why SEGA never released a sequel.

To those playing VF3TB on demul, are you using the arcade or dreamcast version?

Are you playing FMM via emulation? is SSF the best one out there? It seems like it has the most compatibility. I'm down for that for VF Kids and FMM.

Demul only plays the Dreamcast version.

SSF is the best Saturn emulator out there right now. It's what I use.

I also believe that MAME now runs ST-V games now as well.

yeah, ssf runs like a charm. you know I forgot that one of the best things about megamix was the ability to play with the VF3 moveset before it came out in North America (with changes). that was trippy and really pretty cool. Kinda wish they'd kept up with the megamix franchise if only for that.

fmm fucking sucked, yo. seriously. it's just fighting vipers with terribly implemented extra characters. what is wrong with all of you?

I must admit that for me, while FMM was a fun game, in terms of gameplay, it wasn't as fun as VF2 and FV by themselves.

Also, it may be a weak thing to bring up, but it really kinda annoyed me that they used short versions of the music, and they used the remixes from VF2 which were inferior to the originals (with the exception of Jeffry's track, but they cut out the best part of that track, so that point became irrelevant).

oh it totally does. I lasted, like, 5 minutes with it before I retired the emulator.

Fighting Vipers 1 on the M2 emu is rather nice though, especially in 1080p.

Bungle, get Demul so we can see just how crappy the online component of VF3TB is!

Hah Godeater you almost got me thinking there was a quality model 3 emulator,, but it was a DC emulator..

I still love Virtua Fighter 3, I wish newer VF games had such environments. It's also the last version I can actually play but I like it, despite me being one of the few probably.

There isn't a good model 1 emulator, but Fusion emulatesthe 32x pretty well. The 32x version of Virtua Fighter is a lot better then the Saturn one.

no, I did as well but the game remained trash. it was only really fun between mates and on hypermode because at least the silly-ness was "all in".
