VF3 and TB are my favourites for various reasons:

    Best Sound tracks
    Best stages
    Dodge button
    Korean step <3
    "Angulation"

Simply a beautiful game and since then the sound tracks have gone down hill, I haven't heard much of FS's sound tracks yet but I doubt they'll be as good.

Unbelievable what Richkwondo said (2nd post in this thread) word for word has said exactly how I feel about the sound tracks.

I haven't posted for a long time and I suddenly just feel at home again here, and with VF5:FS right beside me here on my TV running in the background I feel something I haven't felt in a long time. Sega really shut us out for too long. I hope I get back into it and enjoy it like I did in the good old days.

The games have undoubtedly gotten better over the years, but I'll probably always consider VF2 to be my favorite. Lots of fond memories of playing that game. I never owned it, so whenever I was able to play it at an arcade or on a Saturn, it was always quite a treat.

If the so-called Announcement Trailer had been put into Final Showdown as the intro, I'd be much more inclined to disagree. VF4 does indeed have a rockin' intro, but that initial Final Showdown trailer is simply pimptacular.

You won't get any argument from me Kikimaru on the issue of VF4's intro, it was both sick and epic which rarely happens for any game series title.

I once loved that title opening so much upon getting the game for PS2 i once went down the road to the shops and left it playing at home deliberately very loud and returned to that epic goodness when i returned. And i also played it real late one night and once woke the neighbours at 12am in the morning too, i liked it that much. Yeah you'll get no arguments from me on VF4's opening intro being completely badass. As i wished the arcade version also had that intro as well instead. Its a pity FS doesn't have an updated version of VF4's intro, cos it was that totally sick and thensome!!!

And i'm real glad i've still got my VF4 copy.

I still pop in VF2 into my Saturn once every few months or so for the nostalgia. I still love the music.

I keep switching between VF2 and 5R soundtracks in Final Showdown. They're overall the two best.

I can only second that and what Rich said. *bows before VF3*

I still love VF4 Evo. So much so that I bought the arcade machine. The graphics are crisper than the ps2 and it is a hit at parties. Final showdown is a little (more) new to me, because I did not play vf5 as much as most of you have-- I was mostly playing evo.
