tis true, .... right now i play with over half the character select screen, infact, in every gathering, the first thing ppl say or ask is that i use so many characters!

but hey, i *just* get bored of one or two, that's all... so far i use:

    wolf (strong)
    jeff (getting strong)
    kage (strong)
    lau (semi strong)
    lion (strong)
    lei (abit)
    aoi (abit)
    akira (strong but fading)
    jacky (abit)

    the rest i don't use...

Yes, Chura is quite strong. But Lei Fei isn't his only character. His Kage & Shun (amonst others) are good as well.

I don't know if he was in VStage07 that I'm on now. I'm hoping Muko Youshi is, who's even better than Chura w/ Lei Fei. UNREAL!

I should note that last weekend was a big FV2 player gathering. Most all of the FV2 gang here also plays VF4 to some degree, so we got in a healthy amount of both games.

One thing is for sure - Heruru really is a nice guy and an incredible player. It's obvious by the fashion in which he plays that he can completely screw around and yet still win. He was doing the Lei-Fei Dance of Shame on multiple opponents (myself included) and winning without breaking a sweat for the most part. He did have one really, really good match against another Lei of the same rank... the sort of thing I wish I had a camcorder to tape. It was very close, but Heruru-kun pulled off the victory in the end. By the end of the weekend his Lei had ranked up the second rank after 10-dan (forget the name). He does several other characters too, but his Lei is easily the most impressive.

As good as he is in VF4, he is actually better at FV2. He had several long win streaks in the game, including one over 50 people. He really is probably the best in the world at the game. Some of what he pulled off is amazing - you know that VF4 step where people keep repeatedly cancelling their crouchdashes? Well he was doing that, repeatedly, in *FV2*, where crouchdashing is much more difficult. The way he could read the opponent's attacks, too, was absolutely unreal. I'd like to ask anyone who disparages the game saying it has no depth and technique to watch Heruru-kun play for a while - the game has potential very few people have even touched the surface of.

Oh yes, he hates Akira, I might add. Yet I saw him playing a little on the cardless machine... hmm. XD

You really think it's harder to CD in FV2? I remember many sessions of FV2 with Kbcat and the two of us were CDing all over the place as a primary movement technique. In fact, when I first saw the repeated CDing in VF4, the first thing that came to my head was "wow, that's just like FV2" ... We also had a few great bash fests with Myke and I think he would remember similar movement back then. I always thought that CD movement in FV2 was easier - could be just me /versus/images/icons/smile.gif

Nice to see you getting in some qualtiy FV time in Japan though...I'd love to see that.

    cheers,

Does Heruru live down there? I whacked him once during the beta test here.... guess I was on a roll.

He lives in the Yokohama area, actually. He came down here for a fall FV2 gathering, along with some other Yokohama folks.

IIRC he plays mostly in Tokyo, though.

No one's mentioned any of the korean players yet. I think Hadoken's Shun's play is quite brilliant so Hadoken I choose you!
