@Ben: you really improved lately, especially on Throw escape next thing you need is try to freeze a bit less.

I lack basic knowledge VS some characters. Like VAN and... The entire cast lol...
It's also the habbits of 2D. I always go for holding back while throw escaping and then moving to front when necessary... (it's just one exemple...)
I also have a lot of bad habbits. Playing you and kingo made me realise that... I'm used to punish some guys the simple way. And it doesn't work versus guys like you...

I also need stuff like dash 2P to punish "wave" crouching dash shit... When you see that you don't understand that this is made on purpose for these kind of situation. But when smbdy explained it to you, it makes sense.

I still have a lot of work ahead. But I'm really enjoying the VF experience right now. And I have to thank the guys who helped me gather this knowledge.

 

Also use the double mid kick attack more. I think the command is 46KK
It's confirmable, looks unsafe but is not (so opponent will often try to throw you, go for launchers or a fast move that will wallspalt on rch (Standing K should do the job) and I think you have a small combo if oponent is against the wall.
Watch Shiwa matches and see how he uses it near walls.

@2:05 opponent dodge first hit but attacks too early and get caught by second hit on CH for 30% combo.
If opponent had blocked it still safe. And trying to throw after blocking two hits is risking a 50% combo with a good reverse nitaku into wall.

46KK is one of the best pai moves. and has pretty good delay. if the second hit connect as CH its a combo starter (against certain chars though ). Also if ppl not Techroll after it you can use 3P and following combo.46KK > 3PK2 >2P >9KK for example.. if they techroll, dont worry about 3P, its safe.

For combos, here are the basic ones:

CH > > dash
Jumonji > > Dragon Kicks
Shippujin or Jumonji Sabaki > > Dragon Kicks
Shippujin > Dragon Kicks
throw > Dragon Kicks or
> Dragon Kicks or

As you can see, the main filler is Dragon Kicks...
Also stop using so much or , it's easy to interrupt since the second hit is always high...offline it would be even worse.

Thanks for couple games yesterday, but unfortunately I felt that the connection was not very good.. I wonder if you felt the same. GGs still.

 

Not the best but not that bad either. Didn't realise it was you though ^^. We should go to pm next time. Overseas connection are not realy constant... It's even worse on 2d fighters. :S

 

Well if latency is too bad for me to even do basic combos I call it too bad

Some french people have good connection to me, some are unplayable unfortunately.

 

Good games to @Kobi last night. Those were some good matche last night. Thanks for reminding me that the basics always work, check for combos that are techable and hit-check to see what your opponent will do. I'm looking forward to more matches in the future .
