Wait and see I don't want to spoil it for you.....but there are 2 kages......skeleton and some other guy

    Friday West Sportsland report

    Kage
Skeleton played today......it was not very impressive to watch but he was really strong

    basically he only uses [P] [2][P] [2][K] [6][P]
    [3_][P] [K]+[G][P][P] Throws

Jin has moved up to Ousha/king

Kyasao is only 10th Dan and he didn't win a lot today

    Aoi

Banana Tokyo and Kofu megane were both there today

They are the two best Aoi`s I have seen on Evo

Note: I haven`t seen Gerira yet and Chibita says he is definately the best Aoi

    Lion

    Chibita owned everyone

    Goh

Arashi uses Goh now instead of Jacky he was very good

Actually most of the Jacky players from Ver C have swithed to Brad or Goh

I think Goh is very strong he has very Strong Throws and hits, he also has a lot of sabaki moves a hit Throw like Jeffrys Stance,p,b p+g but it is unsidestepable?? and works on block or hit

I think I will change my main character to Goh eventually

    Brad

Personally I don't like him he has a lot of tricky moves(odd properties) not hard to execute

Iron Elbow and Neo Tower are the best Brad players

    Wolf

Only Segaru but......does there need to be another Wolf player??

    Jeffry/Shun

    No Jeffry/Shun today

    Vanessa

A quite good Vanessa beat Kyasao several times

    Lei-Fei

No Heruru today but some strong Lei-Fei players were
    there

    Jacky

Remember Wadei from the last report he is down to 10th Dan now,the ranking system seems very erratic now!!

    Sarah

Muscle Sarah and Anii got quite good win streaks but I didn't see any new stuff

    Akira

pkAkira is 10th Dan,Mukky won a lot but didn't move up or down

ME: still 5th Dan there are almost no players below 8th Dan on Friday's

Yeah that sounds like Skeleton. I think he is the perefct example of a player who doesn't use more than 4/5 staple moves and is just incredibly strong. Boring to watch though I suppose

So Kyasao has yet to crack 10th dan, that is suprising!

Do me a favour, since Jin is a friendly guy, ask him (from me) to let you know some new Kage stuff, and try and note it down. He is a fountain of info that guy.

Hmm...when Gerira surfaces I'm sure you'll be watching him like an eagel and teefing his tactics!

I'm suprised that a lot of high dan Jacky players are concentrating on Goh and Brad. Has Jacky become weaker in your opinion? Or perhaps he's just less interesting to play, well he always was, just took a while to sink in (awaits flaming from blonde_one).

Your right about Segaru, you don't need any other Wolf players. In fact Sega should prevent anyone from playing Wolf apart from him, give him the sole Wolf access VF.net card /versus/images/icons/smile.gif

Glad you are enjoyinh the Friday West Shinjuku madness, now get beyond 5th Dan.

    Peace

I would say that Jacky has got slightly weaker
-after p+k,p you can't do anything else and a Throw or mid speed p is gauranteed

I dunno how many videos you've seen but Jacky's moves look kind of weird now......he just isn't strong in the same way he was in Ver B/C that's why I think they changed to Brad (Iron elbow and Neo Tower) BTW they still play Jacky but not as their main character

Regarding Arashi the way he uses Goh looks like Jacky [P][3][P](Goh's elbow move) [2][P] Throw but I respect Arashi a lot cos I think Goh is very hard to use
I would say he is just below Akira in terms of difficulty.

Kyasao: I think Kyasao has been above 10th Dan but in Evolution you can get demoted back to 10th dan from Tsuwamono

    Evo Ranking

    10th Dan----->Tsuwamono------>Mosa----->Ousha---->Meishou----->(Chibita's rank) I don't know the name

I've started using Wolf he is still 8thKyuu though

In fact I've started a card for all but these 4 characters
    Brad,Vanessa,Sarah,Lei-Fei

I'll post some Dan updates soon.......

Stove the DVD with green book is good! (someone is making rips for UK peeps) and that Kage player is dark!!

Thanks for sorting out the book, when did you post it, it arrived arrive SATURDAY.

The book is good but lean!

Heruru is savage, Skelton safe and Chibita lethal as always!! If you can translate any of the Kage section please post.

Also spotted this combo versus Jacky which also works in Ver C (Kage):

    [4]+P+G - [2_][6]+K - [1]+PKG - [P] - [6]+K+G - [3]+K

    cheers

    ukg

    P.S. Ryan says wassup!

I'll have a go at translating it tomorrow.......I had a quick glance at it but I don't think there is much new stuff besides how to use K+G,P,P which is basically further up this thread

I'll send a mail to Ryan

    Chibita Aoi

Chibita has started playing with Aoi /versus/images/icons/smile.gif He is teaching me some very strong tactics. Currently he is like 70-4 and 4th Dan , his losses were to Edo Lau and a Tsuwamono Pai player.

If his Aoi gets anywhere near as good as his Lion I think everyone will begin to fear Aoi /versus/images/icons/smile.gif

    Re: Chibita Aoi

Now when you say 'teaching' are you actually communicating with him, or standing near him with anorepad and pencil? /versus/images/icons/wink.gif

    Got any tournament reports?

    Re: Chibita Aoi

Well I ask him some stuff and he tells me stuff in simple Japanese we manage to understand roughly what each other is trying to say.

Of course I have taken notes of priorities in gameplay situations etc.

All of the tournaments are finished for now......

but hey tomorrow is Friday so hopefully if I can escape from my GF I can watch some high level play tomorrow

    Re: Chibita Aoi

Shit! sorry I forgot all about it had some bad news.......

OK here is what I can remember

1/Kage is not good from long distance but you can't just rush in to get close, there are 3 basics for approaching

*[4][P]*afterwards in closed stance elbow will beat [2][P]and in open stance [2][P]+[K]will beat [2][P]

*[K]+[G][P][P]* The idea with this is to confuse the opponant by delaying the combination and stopping at different parts and doing a 2 choices mix-up mainly [6][P]orThrow what you really want is a counter hit on the 3rd part but if the 3rd part is blocked you can be punished

*[9][K]+[G]* I think you already know about the stuff after this

    I'll post more tomorrow
