I have only one request, which I doubt would make it in: Importing characters from a memory card. I happen to like playing as my Sarah decked out in red pants, a red top, red hair, and that stupid little heart necklace. Yes, I'm petty. But I'm sorry - the lack of importing ability in Evo really disappoints me. I want to look COOL when I kick my friend's ass.

This thread has basically nothing to do with the PS2 version. I am talking about the next version of the Arcade version of VF4:Evolution. Seeing as Sega has only made revisions to the arcade version, (and that they have no way of doing so with the PS2 version) try to keep the changes only in regards to balance of gameplay.

In the arcade, Sega has the ability to release another disc, similar to a "patch" of a PC game, like if you play a Blizzard game, like Diablo II or Warcraft, each patch of those games, is similar to a "version" of VF4(and Evolution) but only in the arcade as fast as upgrades go.

Now the change from VF4 to Evolution, is similar to the change of a PC game having an expansion, like Warcraft 3's Frozen Throne, or Diablo II's Lord of Destruction, which unlike patches, you have to pay for.

I don't think you have read my first post/this topic clearly.

Personally, I don't see the real big deal with Sega not allowing data transfer between the ver.C and Evolution card data. Because with revisions like that, which changed characters balance significantly, and also added two characters, it would be only be fair that everyone started from scratch.

I mean several players switched characters, and if you switched to a new characters, Brad or Goh, you would have been forced to start from scratch anyways, at least in terms of wins/losses/items tracked.

Evo is a different game basically, as opposed to a different version, hence Evo starting out at ver.A, so it is only fitting that everyone had to "start over." /versus/images/graemlins/tongue.gif

Sorry - didn't know this was for arcade only (although that makes sense). But if Sega did make other additions to Evo, they might be able to do it with the PS2's online capabilities. You could download a patch (like you would for PC games) that would let you import/export characters. Of course, this would require some kind of hard drive (if that's indeed how it works), and that likely wouldn't come out for another year or two, if at all. So....forget I said anything. It's just that if I could have one addition to Evo, that would be it.

    I'm done now.

if i had my way, the second hit of akira's double jump-kick wouldn't track evades. i mean, wtf?! have you ever seen a real life fightersomehow summon the energy to change direction in midair? is akira so powerful that he can fly, too? once the first hit is evaded, the second shouldn't connect either.

IceCold (if that is your real name) just block the damn DJK and collect your oodles of lifebar. Oh wait...you were low rising [K] again weren't you? Well if that Akira player were a little better or a little less cheeky, he'd probably knee or shrm your predicted low rising [K] so be happy you're playing scrubs with odd hangups. Think about it. Lau doesn't even have to time a hopknife to get good damage there.

I'd let Vanessa go ahead with that surgery were I am2.

This caused a huge stink when when Evo was just about to come out. Namely, b/c nobody had hit the top rank, and a lot of people spent a lot of time and dough building their characters up.

They made a nice in-the-middle change though that allowed people to level up about 10x faster than Ver. C, which shut everyone up I'd say.

I know this thread is gettin' a bit ol', but just figured out I'd give my thoughts. I think Shun's Zen Ten ( [6][P]+[K]+[G] ), from Drunken Stance, should be able to cancel into the Laying Down Position like his Rolling Elbow Smash from Hand Stand. I know it may sound trivial, but hey it's my opinion!

Taka is dead... mourn for him, but don't expect him to come back,
