The first VFR 3on3 Arcade tournament since the launch of the console version of the game! Four of the first six Tokai Bay Cups were won by Team Family Gyouza for 3 (ファミリー餃å­3人å‰) [Mukku (TA) / Keisuta (SH) / Kanzen Nitaku (WO)]. In the seventh tournament, it appears some Tokyo VFers are in the Tokai VFers stomping grounds. Will they or other Tokai regulars be able to take down Family Gyouza!? The seventh Tokai Bay Area Cup team tournament starts on June 9th, 2012 at 6 PM JST. The event will likely be streamed on Chinobrad's Ustream Channel.

The Bay Area Cups 3on3 tournaments are unique in that teams made at the beginning of the season remains the same at the end of the season. For past tournament summaries and other information, please check the Virtua Fighter Relationship 2011-2012 Season thread. The second post in the thread have a list of teams and team members participating in the Bay Area Cups (not comprehensive).

Level|Up Live will host a special VF5FS tourney on their regular occurring Wednesday Night Fights (WNF) series on June 6th. This will be at the Super Arcade in Walnut, California with the tourney to start ~ 9 PM PST. If you live in the greater Los Angeles area, go visit the Super Arcade and play some VF!

The event will be streamed on Level|Up Series Channel

Most Xbox 360 gamers should already be able to download the game. Not as much news compared to yesterday, but I'm quite the Xbox 360 VFers are excited! Happy Virtua Fighting!

Unlike PS3 gamers, there is currently no special deal for the 360 gamers. The game plus the 2 bundle packs will cost a total of $45 US dollars.

There are 12 items that one can purchase to customize your 360 Avatar. These include VF5FS T-shirt, VF Characters' hair, mask, outfits and animations!

Last weekend, just days before the official release of FS to console, Brisal73 rounded up some notable VF players within the US to chat about VF! Dubbed the Ready GO! podcast, in this inaugural episode Brisal73 talks to L_A, Plague and Rodnutz about how it all started for them!

Reignite Your Inner Fighter Alternate Version Trailer

Koei-Tecmo released their E3 trailer for Dead or Alive 5 today, which starts off with a showdown between Kokoro and Akira. However, it ends with a short scene with Zack giving instructions to an off-screen fighter, who is none other than Sarah!

While we don't get to see her fight in the trailer, we'll probably get to see a glimpse of her in action very, very soon!

On the eve of the day that the PS3 Virtua Fighter 5 Final Showdown version is available for download on Tuesday, UltraChen TV - a general fighting game talk show that discusses a wide variety of subject matters - will have a Virtua Fighter Special on Monday at 8 PM PST. They will have LA Akira as a guest to help gamers of other fighting games learn about the Virtua Fighter system.

As part of the celebration and promotion of the console release of VF5FS, two game launch tournaments/events will be occurring in Australia: Melbourne's Couchwarriors and Sydney's Ozhadou. Not only can VF enthusiasts fight to their hearts content, but those wanting to learn more about the game, these might be the events for you! There is a total of eight Virtua Fighter 5 Final Showdown game codes that will be given away related to these events (4 before the events and 4 during the events!)
